It's not actually abnormal. In cities in Türkiye where winter conditions are harsh, life is difficult, and income and welfare levels are low. If wealthy people lived in such cities, winter would be more enjoyable. For poor people, winter means freezing and struggling to survive.

I understand you perfectly. When I lived in Ukraine, I experienced cold, harsh winters, it was more than 20 degrees below zero. And when spring came, and the first flowers appeared from under the snow, I rejoiced and said: we have lived through another winter. This is again the victory of life over death!
