Snowy streets of Tatvan

Tatvan is one of the most popular settlements in eastern Türkiye. Its location on the shores of Lake Van, its long coastline, its suitability for settlement, and most importantly, its cooler summers compared to surrounding provinces, make it a highly desirable location.

Tatvan, Türkiye'nin doğusunda yer alan en popüler yerleşim alanlarından biri. Van Gölü'ne kıyısı olması, çok uzun bir sahil şeridine sahip olması, yerleşime uygun yapısı ve en önemlisi yaz aylarında çevre illere göre serin olması. Bu farklı özellikleri nedeniyle tercih edilirliği yüksek bir yer.

It's about 30 kilometers from where I live, quite close. Transportation is good, it's possible to go there at most times of the day. I had to go to Tatvan a few days ago. It had snowed the day before. The day I was there, the weather was sunny. Enjoying the snow on a sunny day, watching how the falling snow changes the surroundings, is a special pleasure.

Yaşadığım yere yaklaşık 30 kilometre mesafede, oldukça yakın. Ulaşım yoğun, günün bir çok saatinde oraya gidip gelmek mümkün. Bir kaç gün önce Tatvan'a gitmem gerekti. Bir gün öncesinde de kar yağmıştı. Orada bulunduğum gün hava güneşliydi. Güneşli bir günde karın tadını çıkarmak, yağan karın etrafı nasıl değiştirdiğini izlemek ayrı bir keyif veriyor.

Normally, the road in the picture above is open to traffic. Cars are allowed to go up to 50 meters. Beyond that is the beach. Especially in summer, this area is full of cars. People have to walk through the snow here.

The snow accumulated on the tree branches created an aesthetically pleasing sight. Looking at the trees for a while evokes different feelings in me. By now, the snow on the branches has probably melted and fallen to the ground due to the sun's effect. The weather was sunny; snow cannot withstand the warmth of the sun for too long and succumbs to gravity.

Ağaç dallarında biriken kar estetik bir görüntü meydana getirmiş. Ağaçlara bir süre bakınca ben de farklı duygular uyandırıyor. Şu an muhtemelen ağaç dallarındaki kar güneşin etkisi ile eriyip yere düşmüştür. Hava güneşliydi, uzun süre kar güneşin sıcaklığına dayanamaz ve yer çekimine yenik düşer.

In the distance, a mountain peak, a deep blue sky, clouds, and an architectural structure. A photograph that captures all these elements together. Looking at the photo makes you want to look again. The building was previously used as a hotel. Now, only the first floor is used as a cafe and restaurant. Those who stayed there before were very lucky. Waking up to the unique natural beauty of Lake Van must have given them wonderful feelings. Of course, watching Lake Van while sipping their drinks before going to sleep must have enhanced their enjoyment even more.

En ötede bir dağın zirvesi, masmavi gökyüzü , bulut ve mimari bir yapı. Tüm bunların bir arada bulunduğu bir fotoğraf karesi. Fotoğrafa bakınca bir daha bakmak istiyor kişi. Mimari yapı önceden otel olarak kullanıyordu. Şimdilerde ise sadece ilk katı cafe, restoran olarak kullanılıyor. Önceleri otelde kalanlar çok şanslı olmaları. Uyanır uyanmaz karşılarında Van Gölü'nün eşsiz doğasını karşılarında görmeleri onlarda harika hisler uyandırmış olmalı. Tabii uyumadan önce de içeceklerini yudumlarken Van Gölü'ne izlemek keyiflerinin boyutunu daha da artırmıştır.
