Houses Covered by Snow, Hidden by History

I don't remember seeing this much snowfall in such a short time during the winter season in recent years. There are still 40 days left until the end of winter. Where I live, winter lasts an extra month. Clearly, there are many more snowflakes to come from the sky. The snow looks aesthetically pleasing on the old, historic houses. I wanted to share this with you in this post.

Son yıllarda bu kadar kısa sürede kış mevsiminde bu denli kar yağışı olduğunu hatırlamıyorum. Daha kış mevsiminin bitmesine 40 gün var. Yaşadığım yerde kış mevsimi ekstradan bir ay daha sürüyor. Belli ki gökyüzünden aşağıya doğru inecek daha çok kar tanesi var. Kar yağışı eski, tarihi evler üstünde estetik olarak çok iyi görünüyor. Bu gönderimde bunu sizlerle paylaşmak istiyorum.

An old house has been converted into a barn. Because the roof is old, snow accumulates on the hill. Since it's a stone house, it always catches my attention whenever I pass by, due to its harmony with the snow.

Eski bir ev ahıra dönüştürülmüş. Evin çatısı eski olduğu için kar tepede birikiyor. Taş ev olduğu için oradan her geçtiğimde kar ile uyumu nedeniyle hep ilgimi çeker.

The houses are located on the side of the mountain. Snow is still on the roofs and tops of the houses. The houses and the snow create a visual spectacle. The slope is so steep where the houses are located that if the people there lose their balance, they could easily tumble down.

Dağın yamacında bulunan evler. Evlerin çatısında, tepesinde halen kar duruyor. Kar ile evler görsel bir şölen oluşturmuş. Evlerin olduğu yerde eğim o kadar fazla ki oradaki insanlar dengelerini kaybederse aşağıya kadar yuvarlanmaları işten bile değil.

I'm also interested in the historic, old houses in this area. Many of them are protected because they are considered historical monuments, even though they are in danger of collapsing. The houses are protected, but the people passing by are a threat. The houses could collapse on them at any moment.

Bu bölgedeki tarihi, eski evler de ilgimi çeker. Bir çoğu yıkılma tehlikesine rağmen tarihi eser niteliği taşıdığı için koruma altında. Ev koruma altında ama oradan geçen insanlar bu bir tehdit. Her an başlarına yıkılabilir evler.

I'd say this is my favorite photo. It's a rather old and neglected house. A lot of snow has accumulated on the roof. The accumulated snow and precipitation have caused the roof to collapse over time. The windows and glass are broken, so you can see inside. Just behind it is the two-thousand-year-old castle in the city. The snow accumulated on the castle walls looks quite aesthetically pleasing. The historical houses and the snow accumulated on their roofs create a striking visual spectacle. I want to take photos of such structures and share them here whenever I have the time.

En çok hoşuma giden fotoğraf bu oldu diyebilirim. Oldukça eski ve bakımsız bir ev. Evin tepesinde çok fazla kar birikmiş. Biriken kar, yağış zamanla evin tepesinin çökmesine neden olmuş. Pencereler, camlar kırılmış. Haliyle evin için de görünüyor. Hemen arkada şehirdeki iki bin yıllık kale. Kale duvarları üstünde biriken karlar da gayet estetik gözüküyor. Tarihi evler ile bu evlerin üstünde biriken kar dikkat çekici bir görselliğe zemin hazırlıyor. Vakit buldukça bu tür yapıların fotoğraflarını çekip burada gönderi ile birlikte paylaşmak istiyorum.
