My New Year's Eve celebration

Happy New Year to all who make life in this community and infinite blessings for this 2024. Today I want to tell you how I spent December 31 with my family because thank God I have my parents still alive and I like to enjoy it with them, my brothers, my son and my husband.

This year was no exception, as always we cleaned the house a day before to have it clean and tidy and we prepared the hallacas beforehand to be more relaxed and rested. So on December 31 I got up early and, like every day, I got ready. We finished making a chicken salad for dinner, since this time we wanted to go out for lunch to share and not have a formal dinner, but one proposes and God disposes.

After arriving from lunch, we received the visit of our dear niece @nathyortiz who decided to come and spend the end of the year with us. As you may know, she lives in Maturin, Monagas state. So we had no choice but to make the New Year's Eve dinner with hallacas, chicken salad, bread, soft drinks and wine, and could not miss the lentils that as always my older sister prepares it, as it is a ritual that we have the family every 31 that when they give the 12 bells we give the embrace of happy new year and we eat a spoonful and we do it as a tradition for prosperity and abundance.

Once we were all at the table my mother blessed the food and thanked God for keeping us united and healthy, after dinner we took the photo sessions and then we sat down to talk, dance and have a few glasses of wine waiting for 5 minutes to 12:00 to uncork the wine and fill the glasses to toast to the new year that we expect with great joy.

I thank all those who were part of my life this year, and may this coming year be full of health, may it come loaded with many blessings, love, joy, well-being, prosperity, peace and tranquility.

Feliz año nuevo a todos los que hacen vida en esta comunidad e infinitas bendiciones para este 2024. Hoy quiero contarles cómo pasé el 31 de diciembre al lado de mi  familia porque gracias a Dios tengo a mis padres aún vivos y me gusta disfrutarlo con ellos, mis hermanos, mi hijo y mi esposo. 

Este año no fue la excepción, como siempre limpiamos la casa un día antes para tenerla limpia y ordenada y  preparamos las hallacas con anterioridad para estar más tranquilos y descansados. Así que el 31 de diciembre me levanté temprano y, como todos los días, me arreglé. Terminamos de hacer una ensalada de pollo para la cena, ya que esta vez quisimos salir a almorzar afuera para compartir y no hacer cena formal, pero uno propone y Dios dispones.
 
Luego de llegar de almorzar, recibimos la visita de nuestra querida sobrina @nathyortiz y que decidió venir a pasar el fin de año con nosotras. Como sabrán, ella vive en Maturín, estado Monagas. Así que no nos quedó de otra de hacer la cena de fin de año con las hallacas, la ensalada de pollo, pan, refrescos y vino, y no podía faltar las lentejas  que como siempre la prepara mi hermana mayor, ya que es un ritual que tenemos la familia todos los 31 que cuando dan las 12 campanadas nos damos el abrazo de feliz año y nos comemos una cucharada y lo hacemos como tradición para la prosperidad y abundancia.

Una vez que estuvimos todos en la mesa mi madre bendijo los alimentos y dio gracias a Dios por mantenernos unidos y sanos, después de cenar nos tomamos las sesiones de fotos y luego nos sentamos  a conversar, bailar y tomar unas copas de vino a esperar  que se hicieran  faltaran 5 minutos para las 12:00 para destapar  el vino y llenar las copas  para brindar  por el nuevo año que esperamos con mucha alegría.


Le doy gracias a todos los que formaron parte de mi vida este año, y que este año venidero esté lleno de salud, que venga cargado de muchas bendiciones, amor, alegría, bienestar, prosperidad, paz y tranquilidad.
