Monomad Challenge: St. Mary's Parish Church in Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, England
(Edited)
This is my entry for the #monomad challenge. Here are pictures of the St. Mary's Anglican Parish in Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, England. It's hard to believe this is a parish church and not a cathedral. It's gorgeous.
The soaring columns. I can't believe this is a parish church.
A view of the starboard-side colonnade that frames the nave.
A view of the port-side colonnade that frames the other side of the nave.
A monument to local war dead from the Boer War.
One can see various monuments on the port-side of the church here.
Monument to local war dead from the Great War.
One of the monuments erected in honor of the war dead from World War II.
The lovely exterior, which contains spectacular stained glass.
Thank you for viewing!
