Stacked, steady, still #monomad

Greetings lovely members of the community. I hope you all are doing great and enjoying quality time with your loved ones.

समुदाय के प्यारे सदस्यों को नमस्कार। मुझे आशा है कि आप सभी अच्छे होंगे और अपने प्रियजनों के साथ गुणवत्तापूर्ण समय का आनंद ले रहे होंगे।

The first three pictures are of the city and the valley. You can see the town slowly thinning out into green ridges, winding roads, and quiet forested hills. The view seems endless.... Hills after hills folding into each other like ripples. Some patches are dense with trees, others are scattered with houses, looking like they’re carefully stitched onto the slopes. This was in the afternoon . The sun was there so the sky here is clean and still, giving the whole photo space to breathe.You can also notice a building with big text advertising coaching classes ..signs that even in small town, dreams of big cities and exams quietly live inside small rooms and there's that board with ..Defender written on it .. a bit of urban branding.

पहली तीन तस्वीरें शहर और घाटी की हैं। आप देख सकते हैं कि शहर धीरे-धीरे हरी-भरी चोटियों, घुमावदार सड़कों और शांत वनाच्छादित पहाड़ियों में सिमटता जा रहा है। नज़ारा अंतहीन लगता है... एक के बाद एक पहाड़ियाँ लहरों की तरह एक-दूसरे में समा रही हैं। कुछ हिस्से पेड़ों से घने हैं, तो कुछ घरों से भरे हैं, ऐसे लग रहे हैं जैसे उन्हें ढलानों पर सावधानी से सिल दिया गया हो। यह दोपहर की तस्वीर है। सूरज निकला हुआ था, इसलिए आसमान साफ़ और स्थिर है, जिससे पूरी तस्वीर को साँस लेने की जगह मिल रही है। आप एक इमारत भी देख सकते हैं जिस पर कोचिंग क्लासेस के बड़े-बड़े विज्ञापन लिखे हैं... ऐसे संकेत कि छोटे शहरों में भी, बड़े शहरों और परीक्षाओं के सपने छोटे कमरों में चुपचाप रहते हैं और वहाँ एक बोर्ड है जिस पर लिखा है... डिफेंडर... थोड़ी शहरी ब्रांडिंग।

A little ahead was this old tin-roofed house with peeling walls that sits quietly in the corner, overlooking the valley.The forest is thicker here...tall deodars rising quietly in the corner, shadows falling in all directions. You don’t see people in this frame, but it doesn’t feel empty.

थोड़ा आगे एक पुराना टिन की छत वाला घर था, जिसकी दीवारें उखड़ रही थीं और जो घाटी के नज़ारे को देखते हुए कोने में चुपचाप खड़ा था। यहाँ जंगल ज़्यादा घना है...कोने में ऊँचे देवदार के पेड़ चुपचाप उग रहे हैं, और हर तरफ़ परछाइयाँ पड़ रही हैं। इस फ़्रेम में आपको लोग तो नहीं दिख रहे, लेकिन यह खालीपन भी नहीं लगता।

These last few i took when i was returning. The houses climb up the slope, layer by layer. The whole hill seems to wear a jacket made of concrete and windows. But even though the town looks tightly packed, it doesn’t feel suffocating. There’s a strange openness in this crowded place... maybe it’s the wide sky above or the way each building still has its own little window to the world.

ये आखिरी कुछ तस्वीरें मैंने लौटते समय ली थीं। घर ढलान पर परत दर परत चढ़ते जा रहे हैं। पूरी पहाड़ी मानो कंक्रीट और खिड़कियों से बनी एक जैकेट पहने हुए है। लेकिन शहर भले ही घनी आबादी वाला दिखता हो, लेकिन घुटन महसूस नहीं होती। इस भीड़-भाड़ वाली जगह में एक अजीब सा खुलापन है... शायद ऊपर खुला आसमान या फिर हर इमारत की अपनी एक छोटी सी खिड़की, जिससे दुनिया दिखती है।

It was in the evening. Right next to the view above was this road.. hence the moving cars.

शाम का समय था। ऊपर के दृश्य के ठीक बगल में यह सड़क थी... इसलिए गाड़ियाँ चल रही थीं।

The buildings look like Lego blocks, each carrying its own shape and story. They're not all the same ..some have slanted roofs, some are boxy, others a bit crooked.These aren’t postcard scenes. They’re lived-in, used, a bit worn out and still standing.

इमारतें लेगो ब्लॉक जैसी दिखती हैं, हर एक का अपना आकार और अपनी कहानी है। सब एक जैसी नहीं हैं... कुछ की छतें तिरछी हैं, कुछ बॉक्सनुमा हैं, कुछ थोड़ी टेढ़ी-मेढ़ी हैं। ये कोई पोस्टकार्ड जैसे दृश्य नहीं हैं। ये आबाद हैं, इस्तेमाल की हुई हैं, थोड़ी घिसी-पिटी हैं, फिर भी खड़ी हैं।
