For today's #monomad black and white photography, Allow me to share one of the most important agricultural place here in Manticao and this is the Manticao Rice field in Zone 8 Barangay Poblacion. This place is easy to locates because it is near at the National road and it contains twenty five hectares of land occupied by rice fields. Almost 200 rice Farmers who works here and they also have shared of the grains they will harvest in fact every harvesting season, automatic two big sack of rice grains are given to them. Many bloggers and photographers went here and some of them are came from far places just to take photos of the place.

This wide rice field is supported with this long concrete irrigation systems. The water flows here comes from the river, kilometers away from the field. This water irrigations os very important to all rice farmers so they can plowed the land very easily. From the main entrance of this irrigation is the big and thick metal door and it covers the entire place everytime when they don't want to watered the field specially during harvesting season. This irrigation systems travels and connects lots of place and Barangays. This long concrete cannals is filled with water everytime when they want to irrigate the rice field and also they do somw maintenance of the water channels so the mud cannot stock up inside of the cannals and the water can flow freely.

Hundreds of rice farmers works in here and as for that, they formed a group or association of rice farmers. The Local Government supported their Group Proposal and builded this two concrete structures. One is the Meeting and Gathering areas and the other structure is for rice grains strage areas. They also have farming machineries just like thrisher, mechanical plow, sprays, hundreds of sacks, fertilizers and even Carabaos given by the Department of Agriculture.

The Buildings or structures are made of concrete materials supported by metals and plainsheets, painted by colorful paints and grills. This two structure was made near at the National road and it has already been 60 years built here. It builts very unique of its designs and aside of that very important to all farmers who farmed the land.

Approximately there are Hundreds of rice paddies here and each paddies contains one rice Farmer. This plain and wide rice field is surrounded with long mountain ranges and some agricultural plants like coconuts, Bananas and even tall and big trees and few houses. Paddies are also built divisions made of mud and this is what farmers always do so the paddies wont collapse when it fills with lots of water. They also put few scarecrows every nearly harvesting activities so the birds cannot eat the grains.

Farmers also built a dryer site on which the grains will dried before putting it in the sack. The rice drier place is made with solid concrete located in the open field. Rice farming is not really easy and it takes time, courage and patience. Drying rice grains is not also easy and it needs to laddled it everytime under the heat of the sun.

Drying activities needs to do few days before putting it in the sack and milled. Aside of that, it must not be wet by rain that is why it needs to guard anytime. Manticao rice field gives a great contributions of the town economy in fact they sell the grains to other Cities and some of it are sell at the Market. Until next post, have a nice day to everyone.
