Photochain Challenge: 141st Edition - COLOURFUL and CLOUDS
This week's key-subjects come from last week's winners' CLOUDS by @arbalestarx7 and COLOURFUL by @tampilyne, congratulations.
This time of year in Upstate New York you don't have to travel much to be smack in the middle of one of # nature's wonders, AUTUMN. This is the corner on which we live. On this day, fall was in full swing. The air was crisp and the sky put on a show of its own.
Traveling by foot in any direction, on these seldom-used dirt roads, the COLOURFUL TREES
can leave you standing there in awe.
The first species of tree to shed its golden foliage is the Ash. As it reaches for the heavens, the branches seem to be in the clouds
This is the view while walking in a northerly direction. Within a few hundred yards from the corner, the canopy of trees shading the road is now off in the distance, outlining the hay fields.
The shades of gray and white clouds provide a stark contrast, defining the heavens from the earth.
Majestic, Hard and Soft Maple trees invite more than a glance as they capture your eye.
Hiking in a southern direction, shortly after crossing a stream, the side of a mountain comes into view. The harmony between the sweet air, pristine water, and well-endowed earth, is on full display.
CLOUDS + COLOURFUL + TREES, {my key word}, = this week's #Photochain #Challange, hosted by @davidesimoncini.
Just beautiful!!!!!
We had 3 days of rain this week and lost half the leaves. I can’t remember when foliage lasted this late into October. We thought foliage would be poor this year due to drought but I guess the 11” of rain in September was just in time. It’s just oaks that have foliage now.
The Oak trees are the only ones with leaves left in our area as well. Usually when thy turn they go to brown, but this year they turned a bright yellow with some turning a reddish color. We had the same rain late in the summer and I think that has made the world of difference.
Here on the farm they are the reddish color.
Thank you very much to join the contest again, Thebigsweed. Good entry. Welcome and a big good luck :)
Every direction gives you colours to delight in, magnificent seeing trees during fall up North against wispy white clouds above.
Amazing photography from the corner!
This year fall has outdone the previous 6 years we have lived here.
😁
Amazing photography, you think so, maybe I missed my calling.
