Grow Log Week 8: Going Strong
What's up, Weed Lovers and Canna-Fam!?
Another week has passed us by, which means it's time for another grow update! This week has been business as usual, with nothing special or unusual to report, which is always a pretty decent week in my opinion.
I originally intended on posting this yesterday for #WeedWednesday, but the starter went out in my wife's car, so I spent a while after work removing that and busted a coolant line while I was at it. I was pretty frustrated after that, and was in no position to finish my post! But, it's now Thursday morning, I'll be taking my wife to work soon, and then heading in myself, so let's get on with the update!
Photoperiod
Ok, I guess the above statement was a little misleading, because I do have something unusual to report in regards to the Lemon Kush plant. This one is already special to me because it has a three leaf mutation, which has already made me curious as to if there would be any other side effects of this mutation as the plant grew.
Well this week I noticed that this Lemon plant was naturally growing two tops, which would normally only happen if you purposely cut the top off of the plant. This is pretty cool to me, and means that if I did decide to top this plant, I could have 4 top buds by the end of the growing season. The top is normally the hardiest and highest quality bud on the plant in my opinion, so getting 4 from one plant would be incredible come harvest!
I have also started to notice a pretty potent smell coming from the Lemon Kush plant. It's pleasantly sweet and citrusy, with a hint of skunk, and it already smells like it will be a potent plant. Hopefully it does work out to be pretty decent bud, and I think I'll be taking it to a local headshop to have the THC levels tested!
As for the Northern Lights x Perfect Circle plant, she still seems to be growing a little slowly in comparison to the Lemon Kush, but is still looking ok for the time being. She does have a few holes in her leaves, which to me suggests pests of some sort, but it's strange that only this plant is suffering and not the one right next to it.

Other than that, I believe this girl is doing fine, but I just hope that I can figure out what is causing the holes in the leaves before it gets too much worse! This one also started to form a smell to her, but it's kind of faint right now, so it's hard to pick up any distinguishable scent profiles.
Bonsai Buds
Last week, I mentioned that I would be keeping my failed Autoflowering plants in an attempt to let them finish their flowering cycle, which I decided to name my “Bonsai Buds”. These plants are still underneath the 60 watt grow light that I started them under, and seem to be doing alright for the time being.
The Novakane Bonsai is still flowering heavily, and has actually started to produce a little bit of a bud smell. It's not very potent, but you can definitely tell that it smells like weed!
The Grape Gorilla Poison Bonsai doesn't seem to be growing as fast as the Novakane, but it still seems to be doing well and producing trichomes all over the leaves! This one has a little bit of a smell, but not much at all. It also seems to be a bit behind in development compared to the Novakane, so hopefully it will start to pick up here soon!

Autoflowers
Before I made my last update, I started germinating another Grape Gorilla Poison and Novakane seed which I was able to get planted on Monday! Personally I had a lot going on that day, so I didn't even think about taking pictures of the process like I usually do!
Both seeds had formed a really good taproot, at least an inch long or more, and they were still floating in the cup of water when I started preparing to plant, which is a good sign that they hadn't become waterlogged! I'm also really worried about messing these ones up again, so I decided to plant them straight into their forever home! At this point, I'm still waiting for them to pop, but I'm sure it will only be a matter of days before they do.
Anyways, I think that about wraps this one up! Thank you all for joining me on this journey, and I hope you all have a great day! See you on the next one! ✌🏼💚
That 3 leaf mf'er is fucked up all around.. it'll probably end up being the best..
Yea it is! Lol and honestly, that was my thought exactly..this bitch will probably be the best plant I'll ever grow in my life 🤣
