Grow Log 2025 -Week 4 Update
What's up, Canna Buds?! Happy Monday everyone, and it's time for another update on the testers, so here we go!
This week brought an end to week 4 of my grow, and honestly, nothing really eventful happened which is good in my opinion. I had a lot going on this week so I wasn't able to get the plants into their final homes yet, but I will definitely be getting those done within the next few days.
Not only did I have my normal full-time job to do this week, but I ended up having a side job to do for a friend, tilled up our garden plot and started getting stuff planted, planted a peach tree and blackberry bush, and had to go to my mom's to help clean out her garage. Then there were chores around the home, family time, and writing my different blogs Needless to say, I've had my hands a little full between writing and working, but I'm determined to keep at it! But enough about that, let's get on with the pot..er, I mean post!
As of right now, I still have the girls on a 14/10 light cycle with the lights scheduled to come on at 6 am and turn off at 8 pm. I've also been watering them all every other day or so, depending on the moisture level of the soil and what the leaves look like. The heat plays a role too, so I will water them more if and when I need, but generally they seem to be okay with only getting water every two to three days. I haven't noticed any droopy leaves, so I'll take that as a good sign and continue on.
The only thing I really noticed this week was that the water leaves on the auto plants started turning brown. I'm not sure if they really are experiencing a nitrogen deficiency, or if they're just doing their thing and shedding them for new growth. It is slightly discomforting, but I have faith that it will all work out for the best! As of today, these plants are now 31 days old, so only about 60-70 more days to go or so before they're ready to harvest!
I think the photoperiod plants are looking decent so far, besides the burns they received from the banana water fertilizer I accidentally splashed them with! The Lemon Kush is a little tall for my liking in comparison to the other plants, but other than that she seems ok! Her mutation seems to keep her leaves from fully growing, so I hope that it doesn't cause any problems in the future.
I'm really just hoping that they will continue to do well after I transplant them outside. Unfortunately, I won't be able to keep them in veg full-time, so it seems like I will be trying my hand at cloning this year!
Honestly I'm not really sure what I want to do when it comes to planting them, and I could definitely use your thoughts and suggestions Canna Fam! I have two 10 gallon buckets, two 5 gallon buckets, and two 2 gallon fabric pots that I could potentially use for them, and I kind of want to do the autos in the 10 gallon buckets to see what they would be capable of. What do you guys think?
Thanks for stopping by and checking out the plants! I hope you all have a great day today and that your week goes even better! See you all on the next one!
