¡Hola chicos! Espero estén súper bien porque hoy la hemos pasado increíble. Hoy la tía Narcisa está de cumpleaños y ya son 61 años. Su hija hoy quiso hacerle un agrado en la hora del almuerzo ya que estaría disponible después del medio día y así lo hicimos.
Hi guys! I hope you are doing great because we had an amazing time today. Today is Aunt Narcisa's birthday and it's already 61 years. Her daughter wanted to make her a treat today at lunch time since she would be available after noon and so we did.
Tía Narcisa es una mujer muy noble, leal a sus principios, fiel creyente en Dios y muy honrada, por estas mismas razones amada por muchos y no tanto por otras personas. Nos nos reunimos a celebrar su vida y lo increíble que es tenerla con nosotros.
Tia Narcisa is a very noble woman, loyal to her principles, faithful believer in God and very honest, for these same reasons loved by many and not so much by others. We gathered to celebrate her life and how incredible it is to have her with us.
Fuimos a comer cachapas en un lugar al que ellos suelen elegir como primera opción cuando se trata de este plato típico del oriente del país. Anteriormente vinimos por primera vez hace como siete meses cuando llegamos de Brasil.
We went to eat cachapas in a place they usually choose as first choice when it comes to this typical dish from the east of the country. We came here for the first time about seven months ago when we arrived from Brazil.
Hoy me arreglé bastante pero al darme cuenta que todos iban muy informales me cambié la blusa por esta que tengo puesta en las fotos. Me sentía muy bonitas, me tomé mi tiempo para arreglarme. Tomé un baño, hidraté mi rostro, protector solar y un maquillaje bastante natural. En los ojos sí me hice un ahumadito muy suave en tonos tierra y utilicé un poco de sombra escarchada. Me coloqué rimel y quedé muy linda. Un poco de perfume y lista para salir.
Today I dressed up a lot but when I realized that everyone was very casual I changed my blouse for this one I'm wearing in the pictures. I felt very pretty, I took my time getting ready. I showered, moisturized my face, sunscreen and a pretty natural makeup. On my eyes I did a very soft smokey eye in earth tones and used a little frosted shadow. I applied mascara and looked very pretty. A little perfume and I was ready to go.
Habíamos siete personas y nos movilizamos en un solo carro porque no teníamos otro a disposición. Estaba una sobrina de la señora Narcisa que acabo de llegar anoche de visita, ella vive en Valencia y vino a visitar a su familia después de algunos años sin darles un abrazo en persona. José, mi novio y yo también estábamos en esta celebración porque estamos pasando unos días en casa de tía Narcisa y tenemos a otros sobrinos de tía Narcisa que viven con ella. Este almuerzo fue organizado por su Hija Andrea quien también estaba acompañándonos.
There were seven of us and we mobilized in one car because we did not have another one available. There was a niece of Mrs. Narcisa who just arrived last night for a visit, she lives in Valencia and came to visit her family after some years without giving them a hug in person. Jose, my boyfriend and I were also at this celebration because we are spending a few days at Aunt Narcisa's house and we have some of Aunt Narcisa's other nieces and nephews that live with her. This lunch was organized by her Daughter Andrea who was also accompanying us.
Considero que estas fotos quedaron muy bonitas gracias al fondo que realmente es el techo que tiene un forma interesante y un color marrón hermoso. Tomé las fotos tomando la luz que venía de las ventanas que son abiertas y pasa la luz completamente.
I think these photos were very nice thanks to the background which is really the roof that has an interesting shape and a beautiful brown color. I took the pictures taking the light coming from the windows that are open and the light comes through completely.
Comenzaron a llegar por partes las cosas de nuestro pedido, las cachapas, el puerco, la ensalada cesar para tía Narcisa que casualmente hoy comienza un tratamiento y una dieta saludable por dos meses ya que tiene valores de insulina muy altos. La sobrina de tía compró una torta pequeña para compartir entre nosotros y especialmente para cantarle cumpleaños.
The cachapas, the pork, the cesar salad for Aunt Narcisa who coincidentally today starts a treatment and a healthy diet for two months since she has very high insulin values. Aunt's niece bought a small cake to share among us and especially to sing her birthday.
La torta era marmoleada por dentro y su decoración era un merengue italiano con decoración de chocolates y unas trufas rellenas.
The cake was marbled on the inside and its decoration was an Italian meringue with chocolate decoration and filled truffles.
Comenzó la repartición para todos. Me plato se ve pequeños y realmente lo estaba, pero casi ni pude comerlo todo porque me llené, creo que bebí mucha agua porque hoy estuvo haciendo muchísimo calor.
The sharing began for everyone. My plate looks small and it really was, but I almost couldn't eat it all because I got full, I think I drank a lot of water because it was really hot today.
Tía se veía muy concentrada en la comida y una vez terminó comenzó a responder sus mensajes. Nos comentó que la última vez que había visto quién le había escrito tenía 300 mensajes sin responder... Se podrán imaginar el compromiso que ella sentía de responderles a todos.
Tia looked very focused on the meal and once she finished she started answering her messages. She told us that the last time she had seen who had written to her she had 300 unanswered messages? You can imagine the commitment she felt to reply to all of them.
La carne estaba muy rica pero un pedazo estaba muy salado por alguna razón y estaba un poco duro y seco, como que fuese del día anterior y lo hayan cortados para calentarlo.
The meat was very tasty but one piece was very salty for some reason and it was a bit hard and dry, as if it was from the day before and they had cut it to warm it up.
Y la cachapa estaba muy rica, pero muy diferente a la vez anterior que vinimos.

Llegó la hora de cantar cumpleaños, pero sólo había un detalle, ninguno de nosotros tenía espacio para comer un pedazo de torta y casualmente cuando estábamos conversando de esto frente a la mesera para pedirle prestado un yesquero y un cuchillo nuevo. En un momento surgió el comentario de "Entonces no necesitamos cortarlo", alguien respondió" entonces nadie va a comer torta" y dice la mesera "Yo sí" y todos nos reímos porque fue chistoso y la verdad fue bastante directa.
It was time to sing birthday, but there was only one detail, none of us had room to eat a piece of cake and coincidentally when we were talking about it in front of the waitress to borrow a tinder and a new knife. At one point the comment came up "So we don't need to cut it", someone replied" so no one is going to eat cake" and the waitress says "I am" and we all laughed because it was funny and the truth was pretty straightforward.
Cantamos cumpleaños, nos reímos mucho, cortamos el pedazo de la mesera y nos fuimos a casa para seguir con el día de trabajo de cada uno.
We sang birthdays, laughed a lot, cut the waitress's piece and went home to get on with each other's work day.
