🇪🇸 ~ ¡Feliz Caturday para todos amigos!, espero que todos ustedes y sus gatitos se encuentren bien en casa, seguros y felices.
Hoy estoy muy emocionada de poder compartir una feliz historia de adopción exitosa que ocurrió esta semana pasada, cuando esta hermosa gatita de expresión triste (y ojitos llenos de inocencia y alma) apareció de la nada en nuestra puerta.
Cuando la vi se me rompió el corazón, estaba deshidratada y muerta de hambre, le di 3 raciones completas de comida para gatito y aún así pedía mas, también estaba algo sucia, francamente su aspecto era la de una mascota perdida que había pasado unos días muy duros en la calle.

Today, I am very excited to share a happy story of a successful adoption that took place this past week, when this beautiful kitten with a sad expression (and eyes full of innocence and soul) appeared out of nowhere at our door.
When I saw her, my heart broke. She was dehydrated and starving. I gave her three full servings of kitten food, and she still wanted more. She was also a little dirty. Frankly, she looked like a lost pet who had spent a few very hard days on the street.

Según me dijo una vecina, la gatita llevaba en nuestra zona unos 2 días vagando, me sentí muy mal por no haberme enterado antes para poder socorrerla porque es una gatita que al hablarle con voz suave, ella te pedía que la cargaras sentándose en sus patas traseras y extendiendo sus patitas hacia ti, no era una gatita agresiva.
Hicimos una breve campaña con una foto de ella reportándola como mascota perdida, pero nadie nos llamo ni escribió por ella, así que la mañana siguiente le ofrecí todo el alimento que quisiera comer y edite un video para compartir en redes sociales, etiquetando a los grupos proteccionistas de nuestra ciudad que ya nos han prestado ese apoyo antes.
Era urgente, realmente urgente conseguirle un hogar, porque ya no cuento con la casa prestada que tenía hace unos meses atrás para poder resguardar gatitos, por eso la gatita a la intemperie corría el riesgo de ser atropellada o que una mala persona le hiciera daño.
According to a neighbor, the kitten had been wandering around our neighborhood for about two days. I felt terrible for not finding out sooner so I could help her, because she was a kitten who, when you spoke to her softly, would ask you to pick her up by sitting on her hind legs and stretching her front paws toward you. She wasn't an aggressive kitten.
We ran a short campaign with a photo of her, reporting her as a lost pet, but no one called or wrote to us about her, so the next morning I offered her all the food she wanted to eat and edited a video to share on social media, tagging the animal welfare groups in our city that had already supported us before.
It was urgent, really urgent, to find her a home, because I no longer have the borrowed house I had a few months ago to shelter kittens, so the kitten was at risk of being run over or hurt by a bad person.

Felizmente, el mismo día que mis amigas y yo empezamos la campaña de "disponible para adopción, necesita una familia amorosa y responsable", una persona muy bonita preguntó por ella, y mientras mi amiga que se había ofrecido a ser quien atendiera este caso se alistaba para llamar el taxi, yo corrí a la calle a buscar a la gatita esperando que no se hubiera alejado mucho.
Al final después de caminar unos minutos la encontré descansando bajo la sombra del pórtico de un vecino, y se portó muy bien, algo nerviosa mientras la guardaba por su seguridad dentro de un baño mientras alistaba el kennel para su traslado (la pobrecita se asustó al ver a los gatos adultos de mi casa).
Fortunately, on the same day that my friends and I started the campaign “available for adoption, needs a loving and responsible family,” a very nice person asked about her, and while my friend who had offered to take care of this case was getting ready to call a taxi, I ran out into the street to look for the kitten, hoping she hadn't strayed too far.
Finally, after walking for a few minutes, I found her resting in the shade of a neighbor's porch, and she behaved very well, although she was a little nervous while I kept her safe in the bathroom while I prepared the kennel for her transfer (the poor thing was scared when she saw the adult cats in my house).

Así es como felizmente el mismo día por la tarde la gatita estuvo en camino a su nuevo hogar, mi amiga la llevo sola en taxi porque yo no me sentía muy bien para acompañarla en esta ocasión (he estado algo resfriada y con nauseas); una hora y media aproximadamente mas tarde ella volvió, porque el taxi de retorno se averió y tuvo que hacer un trasbordo.
Siempre es emocionante ver regresar a un miembro del team cuando es día de llevar algún gatito con su nueva familia, experimentas una mezcla de gratitud, alivio y paz que no tiene comparación.
Y en el caso de esta hermosa bebé, ella ENSERIO necesitaba un hogar amoroso que la resguardara, porque calculo tendría máximo unos 4 o 5 meses de edad, era muy pequeña y no era una gatita que supiera defenderse en la calle, también por su personalidad tan dócil era obvio que se adaptaría muy bien a la vida hogareña.
De verdad estoy muy agradecida con todo mi corazón, con su familia adoptante, y les deseo muchos años juntos felices y saludables.
So, happily, that same afternoon, the kitten was on her way to her new home. My friend took her by herself in a taxi because I wasn't feeling well enough to accompany her on this occasion (I've had a bit of a cold and been feeling nauseous). About an hour and a half later, she returned because the taxi on the way back broke down and she had to change taxis.
It's always exciting to see a member of the team return when it's time to take a kitten to its new family. You experience a mixture of gratitude, relief, and peace that is beyond compare.
And in the case of this beautiful baby, she REALLY needed a loving home to protect her, because I estimate she was only about 4 or 5 months old. She was very small and not a kitten who could fend for herself on the street. Also, because of her docile personality, it was obvious that she would adapt very well to home life.
I am truly grateful with all my heart to her adoptive family, and I wish them many happy and healthy years together.
✦ Galatea update: She is in very good health, her temperament is almost bipolar, she is usually aggressive and irritable, she doesn't like to be touched or picked up, but she loves to sleep curled up on my mom's stomach ✦

✦ Update on Lluvia and Kamui: They are very good friends. Lately, they sleep and rest together, and it has become normal to see them hugging and grooming each other. They are adorable ✦
✦ Apollo Update: He is the diva of the house. He sets the tone for the atmosphere. He's the one who makes a fuss when he wants to go out, the one who makes a fuss at the window when he wants to come in, terrorizing Enki, Kamui, and Lluvia by picking fights even though they're just sitting quietly on the stairs. Apolo is a very peculiar kitten because he is spoiled and loving, but he also has a terrorist side. ✦
En cuanto a los gatitos en casa todo ha estado relativamente tranquilo, el caos usual:
Galatea se porta como la protagonista mafiosa de un manhwa promedio, Apolo hace lo que quiere y se comporta como el dueño de la casa, Lluvia es alegre y extraña a partes iguales (trinando con un volumen que no tengo idea como sus pequeños pulmones son capaces de producir), Kamui es un bebe serio y tranquilo, y Enki ha estado un poco enfermo, pronto debemos visitar al veterinario.
As for the kittens at home, everything has been relatively calm, the usual chaos:
Galatea acts like the mafia boss of an average manhwa, Apolo does whatever he wants and behaves like he owns the house, Lluvia is equally cheerful and strange (chirping at a volume that I have no idea how her little lungs are capable of producing), Kamui is a serious and quiet baby, and Enki has been a little sick, so we'll have to visit the vet soon.

Rezo por mas días como estos, donde los planetas se alinean para que los recursos y la ayuda no nos falte cuando un gatito necesite ser visto, que siempre haya alimento y medicinas, y la posibilidad de un viaje en taxi para llegar con personas de buen corazón que les cambiaran la vida y el mundo para siempre.
Pero también rezo por días tranquilos y sin accidentes, han sido 3 años muy largos siendo cuidadora amigos, este cuerpo necesita unas mini vacaciones 人(_ _*)

I pray for more days like these, where the planets align so that we have the resources and help we need when a kitten needs to be seen, that there is always food and medicine, and the possibility of a taxi ride to get to kind-hearted people who will change their lives and the world forever.
But I also pray for quiet days without accidents. It's been three very long years as a caregiver, friends. This body needs a mini vacation 人(_ _*)
