💾 {06/02/26} ✦ "An afternoon at university, 2011" 🩷 ( ^ ᴗ ^ )ε^ ) 🩷 | Flashback Friday ✦ 🇪🇸 │ 🇺🇸

🇪🇸 ~ Una tarde de Marzo de 2011 estaba sentada en las gradas de las canchas de deporte de mi universidad, ese era el lugar habitual donde ibas a descansar cuando faltaba mucho tiempo para tu próxima clase; cuando estudiaba en la universidad hubo años donde había tanta población estudiantil que los cupos por sección para ver materias por la mañana se llenaban en cuestión de segundos, entonces tuve que ver algunas materias en horario diurno y otras en vespertino (es decir, mañana, y tarde).

🇺🇸 ~ One afternoon in March 2011, I was sitting on the bleachers of my university's sports fields. That was the usual place to go to rest when there was a long time before your next class. When I was studying at university, there were years when the student population was so large that the places for each section to attend morning classes were filled in a matter of seconds, so I had to attend some classes during the day and others in the evening (i.e., morning and afternoon).

Era cansado esperar tanto, y hacía mucho calor, pero afortunadamente tenía muchos buenos amigos, entonces nunca estaba sola, siempre había alguien agradable con quien pasar el tiempo, almorzar o simplemente hacernos compañía hasta que el transporte viniera a buscarnos. También tenía esta bonita mini laptop roja en la que hacía mis tareas pero también pasaba mucho tiempo escribiendo para mi blog de aquel tiempo o para mi vieja página de FB (había enchufes cerca de esas escaleras y la universidad tenía w-fi libre para todos los estudiantes).

It was tiring to wait so long, and it was very hot, but fortunately I had many good friends, so I was never alone. There was always someone nice to spend time with, have lunch with, or just keep us company until the transport came to pick us up. I also had this cute little red mini laptop that I used to do my homework, but I also spent a lot of time writing for my blog at the time or for my old Facebook page (there were power outlets near those stairs and the university had free Wi-Fi for all students).

A la vez que comparto esto, reflexiono también lo muy apasionados que podemos estar con un proyecto, que pensamos que estamos construyendo algo con futuro que durará para siempre (una pagina web, un legado digital de algún tipo que ayudara a otros), simplemente tienes este sentimiento de que todo es posible, a esa edad se te presentan cientos de oportunidades, no sabes lo que es un dolor de rodilla y con solo dormir 3 horas estas listo para enfrentar un día fresco como lechuga.

As I share this, I also reflect on how passionate we can be about a project, thinking that we are building something with a future that will last forever (a website, a digital legacy of some kind that will help others). You simply have this feeling that anything is possible. At that age, hundreds of opportunities present themselves, you don't know what knee pain is, and with just three hours of sleep, you're ready to face a day fresh as a daisy.

Hoy recuerdo con cariño y gratitud esos años tan dulces, los sueños, las expectativas hacia el futuro, y haber podido estudiar con tantas comodidades, pero especialmente recuerdo y aprecio la memoria de todos los que pude conocer en esos años, hoy no con todos mantengo contacto pero espero estén bien y que sobre todo tengan mucha salud y bienestar en sus vidas; en esta foto estamos @Vanuzza y yo ❤️ ella es la del jean color gris y yo la del suéter fucsia, hoy seguimos siendo muy unidas y espero pronto poder replicar esta foto juntas por puro sentimentalismo, porque así siempre hemos sido y seguimos siendo hoy, unas sentimentales ♥ ♡ ♥ (ꈍᴗꈍ)ε｀*) ♥ ♡ ♥ 🌸

Today, I remember those sweet years with fondness and gratitude, the dreams, the expectations for the future, and having been able to study in such comfort, but I especially remember and cherish the memory of all the people I met during those years. Today, I am not in contact with all of them, but I hope they are well and, above all, that they have good health and well-being in their lives.
