Taking The Webster's Adventure

After spending the last 10 days working, I needed to get out and enjoy some nature and the Webster's Adventure was calling!

Located in Dundas Ontario, the entry point to the trail starts at the ruins of the old Dundas mill.

Then you climb a small but steep hill to the train tracks. This is where a very well known spot comes into sight. Dundas peak is visited by countless people, year round (top of the rock cliff in the photo).

Once across the tracks there are wild berry bushes everywhere and the trail head.

This trail runs about half way up the valley, so you are looking down at the river. There are many side trails that take you to the river banks etc. as well.

After a short hike you reach Websters Falls, a 72 foot tall curtain waterfall.

On a typical visit I would have gone much closer to the falls and behind them. But on this day the waterflow was really high! Getting closer for different photo angles etc. was not in the cards. High flow also means a large amount of mist, So I had to enjoy the falls from this spot.

On the way out I checked out a small side waterfall, the river, a moth that had passed on a leaf and then was greeted by a rabbit at the trail head.
