Rainy Days

I tried waiting out the rain before running some errands yesterday, but the rain never stopped. So I grabbed my camera and took a detour to the stores. The mood of the streets in the rain has always been my favorite time to shoot black and white. So this is my entry for this weeks #monomad challenge.

Starting at this gorgeous folk Victorian house that is now in the process of becoming abandoned. It will be demolished and replaced with 6 townhouses, according to the plans.

I continued to walk through the neighborhood snapping shots of a favorite house, street art, the streets, and a historic TH&B train bridge.

Until I reached the trail beside the train tracks.

A little bit off the trail is the remains of an old mini put course. Now heavily overgrown and mostly destroyed by a homeless camp that was set up there for a long time.

The trail was empty thanks to the rain, and I made my way back to the streets. By an abandoned store and my old elementary school, which is now condos.

This rose in front of a house was beautiful with rain on it, and I figured this was a good spot to end my photo session.
