Getting Creative With Renovations

avatar

Now 2 years into my project of restoring and renovating a 1982 Ford/Glendale motorhome. I am seeing a bright light at the end of the tunnel!

Interior living space is nearly done! And we have been getting creative with it. We wanted to do something unique with the bunk beds for our kids and decided on this.

Cloud ceiling with LED lights, to make a very cool lighting solution and chalkboard paint for the walls. Needless to say the kids love it!

Creating the clouds was much easier than I expected. I spray glued a LED strip of lights too the ceiling and then spray glued cotton on top of that. One downfall was that tthe kids kept pulling on the cotton, so I will be adding a plastic mesh to hold it in place.

Then a built a wall and door between the living space and drivers cab. For this I used 1x4 pine wood planks. Stained with a darker color. This was for look as well as privacy and more walls space. On the left side of it, is where the TV will be mounted.

Then the addition of an insultation curtain over the door. Again this is for privacy and also to keep the cold inside during the summer and heat inside during the winter.

The interior is almost done but just like any project it seems to never end lol. Still have to mount the TV, replace the water pump and redo the bathroom. The good part, I cannot wait for all of it! I love this project and cant get enough of it!
