A Night In A 150 Year Old Tunnel

thumb.jpg

A couple of weeks ago I found this small abandoned tunnel on a trail, while hiking with my family. I knew right away, what I wanted to do at it. But was also very curious about the use and history of it!

After doing some digging I found out that it was built by the Lake Erie railway (Later absorbed by the Toronto Hamilton and Buffalo railway) in 1875. After several accidents involving cattle from the local farms crossing the tracks. So the tunnel was built for farmers to move cattle without having to cross the tracks.

As soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted to spin steel wool at it! It is pretty tight so it wasn't going to be easy!

Despite being very tricky, we pulled off a couple of good shots, then got light tubes out.

After that we moved on to a small creek nearby, to finish off the night with a couple more spins.
