A Great Adventure With A Cost

(Edited)

In this Spring/Summer I have not hiked enough and got the chance to make my way to lower Chedoke falls this weekend. I hit the trail and couldn't wait to reach the falls!

While at the creek I put my drone up, a decision that would come back to bite me.

After taking that last photo, I switched to video and slowly flew the drone closer to the waterfall. Unfortunately there was a hawk in the trees on the right and I scared it. Which led to it attacking the drone and knocking it into the water. Destroying it.

I was pretty bummed out but thought it would be silly to just head back, there was nothing I could do for the drone. So I pushed on to the waterfall.

I lost some equipment, but that is bound to happen after enough of these adventures. Overall it was a great day and hike!
