Pink Pink Glorious Pink
Hello Hello to all Hivians and indeed anyone reading this.
Today I shall be telling you a wee story although I think it might end up being five wee stories around a central theme!
The pictures in this post were all taken on June 2nd 2025. Four of these pictures were used to make the lead image for this post on Canva.
I was reading a post yesterday from @stresskiller which piqued my interest.
Time to get started for the Pink photo essay contest
Now @stresskiller told me ...
don't put on Mathilda's wardrobe for the picture , no need to dress up to impress 😜😂
Well I didn't raid Matilda's wardrobe this time, but I did cast my eyes around the sitting room.
The object was to take some pictures for the post I mentioned...
Show me a minimum of 5 subjects in pink , make some nice photos and don't cheat on reusing old content and tell us a nice story with a minimum of 150 words in one language.
Object Number 1 ~ Rhododendron subgenus Hymenanthes
I have taken all these photographs today, actually when I was walking home from the gym this evening I saw these gorgeous flowers. So of course I had to stop and take a picture. My phone though was in my backpack while Mrs T had hers handy, so I snapped these with her phone!
Are these flowers just not fluffing gorgeous!
Actually they are a haven for the big bumblebees we have, so much so that the bees are even trying to get the petals that have fallen onto the ground.
Is that pink enough? I think so and it is my original photograph, not AI, not recycled content and taken today!
Okay now we are home and I realised that there are loads of things in the sitting room that are pink!
Object Number 2 ~ Ears
Underneath the calendar were these pink insides to a pair of ears.
The ears were attached to a hat Mrs T made.
Now then, I bet nobody can guess what the ears with the har are attached to!
Right Star Wars fans ....
"RRRAAARGGGHHH!"
It's Chewbacca .... the fiercely loyal Wookiee co-pilot and companion to Han Solo. The gentle giant known for his great strength and even greater heart.
Did you guess right?
Object Number 3 ~ Pink shoes
Now before you say anything, no these are not Matlida's dancing shoes!
Mrs T makes clothes for dolls and also crochets things for them. She often gives them all away, but she keeps some too.
I realised that scene has a fair few pink objects!
Like the pink of the watermelon bag!
Object Number 4 ~ Pink Crochet Dress
I thought I would struggle to find five different objects!
Far fluffing from it!
Here is another creation from Mrs T.
Do you see to the left of the doll by the wee bear is something else that is pink...
A pink cot with loads of things, but to the right of the doll is one more pink thing I shall add to the post!
Pink hair! Did any of you girls have pink hair?
I had mine dyed metro pop red when I lived in Orlando ... lol that was fluffing bright red!

I think it is fitting to close out the post with the fifth object...

hehe it is funny she gets a lot of dolls from charity shops that kids don't want as they had broken them or drawn on them etc. She repairs them and all of a sudden those kids want their dolls back 🤣
If I remember it was a pink doll you got your granddaughter.

I never imagined that in a house there would be so much pink, but now that I am detailing, maybe in mine there are many things of that color. I was delighted with those dolls, they made me want to be a little girl again. An excellent post, as always, Ed. A pink hug for you!🦩

Hehe yeah there is pink everywhere and then darker shades which run into burgundy and purple.
