ASEAN Hive Community Challenge #159: Macro Photography

It's time for another ASEAN Hive Community Challenge!!! And what's more? The challenge is photography-related, which is something that I personally enjoy. Despite only having my smartphone to participate, it doesn't matter. It's the expression and visualization that count! XD

This week's challenge is MACRO PHOTOGRAPHY. So, let's delve into it! ^^

Let me start this macro photography challenge with this gif I made using burst macro shots on my keyboard. Of course, I focused on the letter M to represent "Macro". Isn't it cool?

After every shot, I'll include what the actual subject is like without doing the macro settings or using my macro lens. (I'm not sure if it'll work on Ecency, but you'll have to click on Reveal Spoiler if you're using PeakD.)

!

I was supposed to head out tomorrow morning and take some photos during our walk, but I don't think I'll be able to since I'm not feeling well. I'd rather rest more tonight after my classes to prepare myself for my weekend class. XD Because of this, I decided to go out during my break and look for interesting things to take photos of around the house.

When I came out of my room, my mom was cooking, and I saw the first thing I wanted to take a photo of.

)
)

These aren't your ordinary bubbles! hahaha It's actually the oil coming from the skewered pork that my mom air fried for lunch. I believe she's making a recipe post about it, so I'll stop giving spoilers aside from this photo I took below.

!
I took this photo much later, so the bubbles already disappeared.

After disturbing my mom while she was cooking, I went outside and headed to the garden. I believe the garden is the best place to look for photography subjects. And here are what I got from going around the place.

I really love the patterns on this leaf, and it's actually beside this rose, so I decided to take photos of them. Last week, there was a perfect-looking rose in the garden, but I didn't take a photo of it... and now, it has started to wilt, so I chose this one instead. Here's the original subject without the macro setting.

!

Beside the roses, there were tiny yellow flowers, and I thought it would be awesome to try and take macro shots of them as well... and so I did!

)

Aren't they pretty? The first shot was using the macro lens and usual photo setting, while the second shot was done using the macro lens and the PRO setting. Also, are you curious about these flowers' actual size? Here it is!

!

On the opposite side of these potted plants are our guava and kalamansi plants. They don't have any fruits yet, but I took a photo of one of the guava leaves because of this tiny white stuff, which I think was made by some aphids.

)
)

The texture and patterns are even better to see on the monochrome photo, that's why I included this version as well. It's just so cool to see. Anyway, here's our guava plant. :)

!

And lastly, I went to our front yard and so something really random, but I thought would look really cool in a macro shot, including a monochrome version.

)
)

Do you have any idea what it is? It's iron exposed to oxygen in the presence of moisture. hahaha XD Do I sound like Senku from Dr. Stone?

Kidding aside... it's this one. :)

!

Yep... that's just me being random with my photography subjects. It was pretty fun even though it was hot outside.

My break time was only for 30 minutes. It was fate because one of my students cancelled their booking, so I hurriedly closed the schedule so I could take some photos for this challenge. haha

Anyway, that's it for my entry this week. I hope you enjoyed this post despite my randomness. See you around and have a good one! (^^,)/
