My Introduction to HiveMotors Community

So I've not made a proper introduction of myself in the #hivemotors group, even though I have made a few posts in the group nobody really knows who I am, so I'll share a few things about myself and my reasoning for doing things some extent. Sharing this might shine some light on why I do the things I do. "My way" probably isn't always the right way.
To clarify things I'm not trying to show anyone how a specific job needs to be done. I am merely sharing my experience with a certain job and how I apply my thinking skills to said specific job. If you have a different way of doing things that you know works for you, well then you should stick to just that. If by some chance you can pickup an improvement from me, feel free to do so.

With all that being said. I am a simple person, very simple in fact. I'm honest to the point it hurts and also soft-hearted but I will protect what I love and admire it till the end. I am not part of a bloodline that lies down when the shots starts going "bang bang" in any situation, physically, mentally and emotionally, so expect me at the front of any conflict whether being positive or negative.

Always go the extra mile, even if you dont get rewarded for it.
I am not yet qualified of any sorts in anyways, but I can tell you with certainty that I am more capable then most qualified mechanics. Not that I'm looking to shine a bright light on myself. And when saying this I am gently referring to the small things that most people let slide, ex. remember that bolt you cross-threaded and thought ah.. what the hell.. let's just leave it, it's one bolt and it's being held in place by nine others. No no, I will take the tap and the set and fix the bugger up. Yes, it takes longer and it is more effort, but I choose to add quality to my work, because quality is the thing that gets you somewhere in life, and quality is what makes the customers come back!
Going the extra mile can lead and point to many things, ex. if you notice something that's defective on a vehicle and you know the client does not want that repaired, try your best to inform him/her of the dangers involved by not replacing or fixing said part. They might just come back the next week or the next month, and with that, they will add their own value to your service.

Sorry about the flash on the book I did try and focus it on the headlight 😁

I am currently still in the learning curve of my career and will probably stay there for a very long time even though in a year or two I might be qualified. I say this because the automotive industry is in a shifting stage with everything getting more electronics added everyday and even electronic cars, and therefore I will be in the learning curve for very long even though it might take years to fully shift out of the guzzling fuel using cars. Which by the way I do love and hope for it not to fall out EVER
While being busy with my level 1/4 on light vehicle motors I am due to write my exam at the end of August. I am very excited and can not wait to get my diploma for level one. After that I need to finish the second, third and fourth level to be a fully qualified petrol mechanic.
What then? No diesel for you? Why not skip petrol and jump straight to diesel?
Well I believe in the saying "You need to learn how to crawl before you can run" and that's exactly my plan. I told my colleague and mentor that I would like to do it this way even if it takes me two years longer to achieve a fully qualified Diesel Mech.
And yes even though I mainly work on gearboxes and do small services and nitty gritty drive-train work, I do want to be fully specialized in deep motor repairs as well, like stripping down and rebuilding engines and valve heads or cylinder heads. My biggest flaw at the moment is understanding all of the electronics around vehicles, such as how to know how much resistance is caused by something, how amps and volts and all of the finer things regarding electricity in the automotive industry work.

I have a deep love for what I do on a daily basis at my "work" and I am always thirsty for knowledge. I love figuring things out on my own but sometimes I need reassurance and clarification as uncertainty always dwells in me. However, if and when I truly understand something that knowledge tends to stick. I am always willing to do the hardest things because I have a neck for making things easy for myself.
My golden rule being, Leverage is your best friend!
So that pretty much sums me up. I mean I can go on and rant about so much more, but lets stick to the basic car side of stuff.
I am very happy to have found the #hivemotors group and I'm very keen on posting my content daily and even more so thrilled for the community as a whole!

Do remember that doing the best of your self will always grand you at least one thing: self respect. Because you tried and push yourself to be the best version of you, when we go that way in something we love and work with like mechanic engines or knowledge, that in itself is its own reward.
I genuinely love the way you think about things and also see them.. I can tell that you are a geniun person.. What you see is what you get type of guy.
I appreciate your interaction.. Really I do. I came back to hive this time looking for interactions and a awesome community... And I found exactly that in hivemotors!
Im a bit of a metal head, so i am and exist as myself and only, glad you found it on Hivemotors, hope is on whole hive and not only in this lovely community, it would be a more worthy social media if it were :)
Hahaha legit.. I myself was heavy into the metals. Nowadays not so much... Although I found a liking in viking-ish metal 😎😎👌
