Canon CNY Theme Photoshoot at Padang Merdeka Kota Kinabalu - Belle (9 Photos)

Hello and hi everyone in the community. Its me again for another portraiture post. On today's post is same as previous post the CNY themed portraiture, but this one was organized by my photographer friend that works at Canon Malaysia branch at Kota Kinabalu Sabah. He is the specialist on the Canon digital camera and lenses at Kota Kibabalu. He often travel to other states to promotes and give training to the photographers for their new camera model with all the new lenses lineup.

This portrait outing was a little bit special. He asked us first in a whatsapp group on which lens and body that we want to use. I was thinking to get the 50mm f1.2 lens from the new RF lens lineup, but someone beats me first. The I saw the 135mm f1.8 lens on the list, I booked the lens and I got it. During the assembly before our photo session started, my friend asked me on which camera body did I wanted to use. I just said give me any of the camera body and he gave me the Canon mirrorless EOS R5, one of the high end camera body on the professional lineup. The camera body spec is very good. The resolution is bigger that all of the other camera body model, it was around 45 mega pixel. This really gives me advantage on working with crop images later.

Pairing this Canon R5 body with the 135mm f1.8 lens was a perfect choice. The body gave me a lots of control over the colors, contrast, sharpness and the white balance. I put all the image profile on custom settings and choose to make my image more vibrant and warm for the weather condition that we were that time.

I love the look on the bokeh created with the lens. It really gives a magical feelings on the images that being taken. The colors are amazing in my opinion. I hope that on the next portrait outing I can get my hands on this camera setup again.
