West Island

West Island

Good Morning everyone Have a great day

This past week has been cool and I have been busy with a few things so I haven't been out for new photos, so I was looking through my photos and wanting some warmer colors and greens and came across these photos I had taken on a visit to West Island In Fairhaven a while back on a nice warm morning.

I love visiting West Island part of the island is a residential area, but thats not why I visit there, its the Beach and the marshes that I find so relaxing and calming to visit there especially in the early morning.

and let me start with the Marshes and the beautiful greens

Off to the right is the beach and in this next shot you can see the sand from the beach, although there is a sort of Sand dune to cross to get to the beach.
And to the right the marshes and then a small forest area, at that time the greens were so ush and fresh on the marsh
I particularly enjoy this view with the mix of sand marshes and water running through the marshes.

Then I crossed the small sand dune to the beach, the beach is quite long and winds around the island as you can see, the first few times I visited there I only walked on the beach, I had not really noticed the marshes till leaving at the end of one beach walk on perhaps my third visit. had not even walked up on the sand dunes for this view some nice colors on the horizon.

And from a similar spot as the last photo but just looking the other way towards the internal water beside the marshes

Yeah, it seems it was a long walk because I noticed the shore was longer.

Sony A7iv has a pretty good color gamut.

I would like your opinion on something. Are there any cameras you would recommend for someone who wants to take better photos and is very new to this?

Thanks I am very happy with my Sony cameras I must say

As for a good camera to start with, when I got back into photography I started with a bridge camera, has most of the features of DSLR or mirroless cameras but has a fixed lens.
Having a fixed lens is good in it stops you from spending more and more money on buying new lenses LOL

I think a bridge camera is a good option to try for getting to take better photos and ae a lot cheaper than DSLR or mirrorless cameras,, A few brands make them, but i havent been following new products so cant recommend a specific one, but options include Nikon with the coolpix, Sony make one but I think that is pretty expensive, Canon have the powershot models and Panasonic the Lumix off the top of my head

Honestly, I was thinking about a bridge camera so I don't have to deal with the lens. Yes, there is a lot of variety and it's really hard for a beginner to make a decision. Thank you for your suggestions.

Lovely island. Nice shots with white sand. It adds another color, blue, green, orange and white.
