Views from the top of the Elm Street Parking garage

Today I will share a few shots for a portion of a recent walk, that morning I parked at the port, took a few shots there, then walked up and through the historic district, and went up to the top floor of the Elm Street Parking garage, where I took the photos I will share today.
It has some nice views both over the city and the port
Looking one way, the dome is on top of the Whaling Museum, which I still have yet to visit, but one day I will.

This is looking towards the port, the building in the foreground with the solar panels is the South Coast newspaper building.

and this is looking over the road that heads out over the three bridges, including the swing truss bridge to get to Popes Island and Fairhaven.

and the Times building also known as the Slocum or Evans Building, stands at 908–912 Purchase Street, and was built in 1897 to a design by Nat. C. Smith. Originally a furniture store, it was home to the New Bedford Times until the 1950s
The historical 5-story building at 555 Pleasant Street, which the newspaper originally vacated in 1995, was completely renovated into modern commercial, retail, and office spaces

Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.
This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines
Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.
Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.
Try and get a few shots not just one
Add a bit of a write up about where you walked
Just one Wednesday Walk tagged post a week
You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.
Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss
Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all, especially if its not one of the first 5 tags or I may miss seeing it .
Following me and re-Hiving the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion.
I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules
I will try and visit, and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk.
I hope a few of you may find this an interesting challenge and decide to join in.

Happy #wednesdaywalk! Nice views. That whaling museum interests me. I might have to make a trip down to see it so I can tell you about it 🙂
LOL good one, I was going to go one day during winter, but my wife said no I want to go as well but not when its cold, now thats its warmer she isnt so keen on going, but one day I will get there, hopefully before you do :)
