Reds A walk with the FRNB Artists collaborative group

This post is for Wednesday walk challenge
Any questions about the challenge, read the guide at the Bottom of the post ;)

On this past Sunday, I joined the Fall River - New Bedford artists collaborative group again for a photo walk. You may remember I joined them last month for a walk in New Bedford; this one was in Fall River, and we met in North Park and took a walk through some of the Highlands there.

I enjoyed the walk and chatting with some of the group on the way. I have mentioned that I am actually quite shy previously in another post, but I managed to get over that with this group, and didn't wander off on my own for too much at least.

They had a theme for this walk, which apparently is something they do to give a bit of a challenge to the walk.

One of the organizers had a bunch of crayons, and we had to close our eyes and pick one, and I drew a read crayon, infact I included it as the first photo.

NOw it was overcast when I left to go to the walk and I thought it was meant to stay that way, I did wear a light jacket even though it was fairly warm, to keep the sun off my arms, since I realised last minute I didnt have any sun block at home, and with all the skin cancer i have had to try to avoid to mych sun on me.

But one more red photo I could add, but will not, is a photo of my face, which I was stupid enough not to think about, and I did get a light sunburn on my face.

and onto the other photos, which I did come across plenty of red subjects but just quickly edited a few for this post.

The park where we started has a couple of Little League baseball fields, and that was the first red I saw on the sign.

Now, when I drew red, the first thing I thought of was fire hydrants and flowers, but funnily enough, most of the fire hydrants in the area we walked were orange,m but I did spot this one

a nice red car, which reminds me of when I was young I always thought red cars were the fastest cars

Our walk took us past Charlton Hospital, and I caught this ambulance heading in

Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.

This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines

Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.

Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.

Try and get a few shots not just one

Add a bit of a write up about where you walked

Just one Wednesday Walk tagged post a week

You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.

Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss

Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all, especially if its not one of the first 5 tags or I may miss seeing it .

Following me and re-Hiving the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion.

I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules

I will try and visit, and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk.

I hope a few of you may find this an interesting challenge and decide to join in.

unless stated otherwise all photos used in my posts are taken and owned by myself, if you wish to use any of my images please contact me.

I hope this heat isn't getting to you too much! It has been brutal here. I still remember when my dad used to go on photo walks with a local group like this. I'm glad you are going on more of them!

OUrs has been leaking water all over the place, I dont think its freezing up, seems to be from condensation forming, but thatsjust a guess, its a new system we just had installed last week, so will call the company this mrrning.

Luckily I got solar when we moved here so the electricity isnt an issue for us

I wish I had a solar system. Even a small one would be great.

What a great idea to join this group—and especially that it was a themed hike. It’s something different, and you overcame your shyness. The second photo is my favorite, it’s gorgeous!! Thanks for this beautiful and unique hike!
