Wednesday Walk on Popes Island
This post if for Wednesday walk challenge
Any questions about the challenge read the guide at the Bottom of the post ;)
Still no Luck with gettign out for walks, as I write this the temp is nice for a walk, but alas its raining and wind gusting to 60mph, so for sure not walking weather
So I am thinking about ( and sharing) walks from last year, and at the same time, thinking about where I will head for my first sunrise walk this year.
ON a side note I may not be getting out for walks but still getting my steps in each day, averaging around 10K steps a day and 2..5 to 4 miles on my exercise bike each day, I had dropped my steps down to 8K with riding the exercise bike, but my weight climbed a little so trying to kepe to 10K again.
Not sure if I am eating too much or if riding the bike is building up leg muscles and burning fat and thats why my weight has gone up, I dont think I am eating more than I had been, but either way, trying to get back down to my goal weight again, not far off it at least.
one of the places I enjoy walking in the morning is Popes island, walking around the idsland and over the bridges is good for my step count and nice views over the water
This big structure i belive holds canoes and such for a local club

Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.
This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines
Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.
Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.
Try and get a few shots not just one
Add a bit of a write up about where you walked
Just one Wednesday Walk tagged post a week
You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.
Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss
Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all, especially if its not one of the first 5 tags or I may miss seeing it .
Following me and re-Hiving the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion.
I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules
I will try and visit, and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk.
I hope a few of you may find this an interesting challenge and decide to join in.
unless stated otherwise all photos used in my posts are taken and owned by myself, if you wish to use any of my images please contact me.

I wish I could say my weight was going up because I am building, muscle, but I don't think that is the case. I just went through a bunch of my old clothes yesterday and I had to get rid of a ton of them because they don't fit anymore. So depressing. Nice shots though!
I was like that a couple of years ago, but managed to get it under control :), now managing to stay at a consistent weight even if 5 lbs more than what I had bene aiming for
It's crazy because I feel healthier than I have in the past and I am much more active, but my clothes say otherwise!
Well if you feel healthier then run with that :)
Hello, dear friend @tattoodjay.
I'm so sorry the weather isn't cooperating much for you to finally resume your hikes.
I hope you'll soon have the opportunity to start hiking on Popes Island and enjoy those wonderful views.
Have a great day.
Thanks kindly your support is appreciated
I just have to be patient ;)
Have a great day
Good morning, Mr. @tattoodjay.
That's great that you're exercising even though you can't go for walks.
I hope you reach your ideal weight soon.
What beautiful photos! I love the sunrises there.
Have a wonderful day.
Thanks kindly your support is appreciated
Have a great day
Glad you're getting out some at least, and it sounds like that exercise bike is more than paying off for itself in usage! I do hope spring is taking a firm hold and the rain is staying away. Soon you might be out for more of the early morning walks again for more sunrise pictures!
I love that third picture, what great colors you caught there! Interesting structure in the first one, but I guess you have to store those big old canoes somewhere. I never thought about it much as I never was into rowing.
I hope you and your wife are doing well!
I to was never into rowing, I did do some kayaking in my 20's which was fun but never on big team canoes
Same here, though I haven't done kayaking in years now either! lol
👍🙂👍
We’ve had about two months of rain here, and thank goodness I’d already been out for plenty of walks. I know what it’s like, but your photos are still spectacular, especially the last one!!! I hope it stops raining soon!!🤗

Happy #wednesdaywalk! Here's to more good walking weather in the coming summer 🙂
What a beautiful view, the activity in the morning. The orange yellow color of the sun just appearing. Have a great day.
For some reason, my weight is also growing. Now I try to walk at least 15k steps a day. But sometimes my job gets in the way.
15 K steps is impressive, I read somewhere at my age 5 to * k is recommended so I am happy with 10K and some exercie bike time
Yes, 10k steps is considered the norm. But I'm trying to go through more.
You also need to take into account the various factors of walking - descents and ascents of hills, and the speed of movement.
Yesterday, my day was full of different events, and I only slept for 4 hours, so I couldn't take a full walk. But I had a lot of physical activity.
yes indeed many factors to be considered
Well old but gold amazing photos today in my area too it's super windy, not good for walking.
Thanks kindly your support is appreciated
Have a great day
