Wednesday Walk Mattapoisette rail trail

Wednesday Walk Mattapoisette rail trail

First off let me apologize for not commenting much on last weeks walk posts, let me just say it was a crazy week

This post if for Wednesday walk challenge
Any questions about the challenge read the guide at the Bottom of the post ;)

For this weeks post I am sharing some shots from a walk I did a while back, the first time, well at this stage the only time I checked out the mattapoisett Rail Trail, which is about a half hours drive from where ilive, I do plan to revisit there when the weather starts getting warmer and the days longer

a Lot of the trail or the portion of it that I walked is by the water and I do love walks by water I find it the most calming of places for me to walk

Its a long trail I think I read 4.5 miles and joins up with the Phoenix bike trail in Fairhaven, I am not sure if thats included in the 4.5 Miles or in addition

I only walked a portion of the trail maybe 2 Miles, I was tempted to walk the whole trail, but then it came to me that would be 4.5 miles out and then have to walk it back and that would take me longer than I planned to be out, but I did love the portion of the trail I saw
Water as in a beach on one said and in one portion this river

Weekly giveaway of shares

This week I am sending to the following who joined Wednesday Walk, for this week I did a random draw and the following each received some Hive @djbravo @dahlanea @grindan @xplosive @lileisabel @blind-spot

Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.

This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines

Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.

Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.

Try and get a few shots not just one

Add a bit of a write up about where you walked

Just one Wednesday Walk tagged post a week

You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.

Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss

Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all, especially if its not one of the first 5 tags or I may miss seeing it .

Following me and re-Hiving the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion.

I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules

I will try and visit, and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk.

I hope a few of you may find this an interesting challenge and decide to join in.

unless stated otherwise all photos used in my posts are taken and owned by myself, if you wish to use any of my images please contact me.

Beautiful walk, I was enchanted with the colors of the second photo, and that bridge is beautiful. A beautiful walk in the open air. Thank you very much always @tattoodjay 😀

Those are some amazing shots. I totally agree with your comment about it actually being nine miles not just 4.5. I wish they kept stuff like that in mind when they were designing trails like this. Maybe offer a few branches that lead back to the beginning via different route so you can do a 2 mile or 5 mile walk without looking at the same scenery both ways.

Thats a good Point you make, making various loops would be great, but then again as this runs along the coast I guess thats not really an option

Yeah, probably not. Too bad though!

Beautiful shots! The east coast has such beautiful views at sunrise... That's a nice walking site, but I would have to agree the nine miles round trip would take quite awhile. It would make for a nice bike ride though.

Water Water everywhere. How cool is the bike trail, I love it is elevated like that.

Yeah 4.5 miles out then 4.5 miles back would be a good chunk of time. Looks great weather too.

You know I'm a fan of your photos, so that's all I want to say. I also love them because you don't put people in your landscapes. You photograph them separately and leave nature what's hers. Very nice!

I'm late now with my post, hope to catch the train, even if it left a few hours ago...
