Wednesday Walk in Buttonwood Park

This post if for Wednesday walk challenge And Make me Smile Collaboration challenge, initially our collaboration was once a month but due to the popularity of it we have decided to make the collab a weekly thing :)

For this week I can actually share a recent walk, I took this walk the other day around Buttonwood Park, the temperature was nice but it was a bit overcast, but still nice to get out for a walk.

I caught a bit of sunflare as I was walking along this pathway, heading to a gap in the fence to a trail around the small woods there

and a couple who were in a little field just off the side of the small trail through the woods, the guy had been taking some photos or a video and they were checking them out as I took this shot

A good part of the lake was frozen over I saw these bits of ice with some nice light on the pond

and finishing off with a shot as I walked along this spot on the edge of the pond.

Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.

This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines

Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.

Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.

Try and get a few shots not just one

Add a bit of a write up about where you walked

Just one Wednesday Walk tagged post a week

You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.

Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss

Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all, especially if its not one of the first 5 tags or I may miss seeing it .

Following me and re-Hiving the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion.

I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules

I will try and visit, and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk.

We had a pretty nice day on Sunday so my wife and I took Jovi to the park for our first walk of 2023. I couldn't believe how many people were there. The park was packed. It's like everyone was just searching for that sliver of spring. Buttonwood Park looks like an awesome place to wander around!

This looks like such a darling little neighborhood. We've had some amazing weather for walks that's for sure! I LOVE to get photos of ice on water, so magical with the light. A great #wednesdaywalk @tattoodjay and I happily joined in as well :) (again I hope I understand the rules and am supposed to add my link.)

Solid walk again my man.

My Wednesday is a little more mundane than that as I have a client call (at a golf course at least!) and an office catch up day.

I may have to do another throwback as I have months of walk pictures and love the weds walk movement.

Typical winter scenes in your photos today...but even winter looks nice in your photos!

Although overcast it looks like a real nice winter day and people walk even in shorts - cool 😀 I love the illuminated pieces of ice 😊

Here the days are also very warm at the moment but it's freezing cold at night ❄️

In sunshine it's very warm here at the moment, so wearing a T-shirt on the balcony is absolutely fine, but going for a walk in shorts ... brrrr, too cold ❄️

We will spend the next few days in a ski resort, but we don't go skiing. It's more a family meeting at the farm of friends, but I hope the warm weather doesn't melt the snow - I hope for nice snow walks in sunshine 🌞

Does the dude wear shorts in winter? He looks like my friend. He also sometimes went shopping in shorts in the winter. People looked at him like he was an idiot. Once he was almost taken to the police station. The policemen decided that he was violating public order, that it was impossible to walk in this form in winter.

I walk down the street in shorts in the summer almost before the onset of cold weather. But not all places can be visited in shorts.

It is nice to watch people and to catch them in a photo. You look at it again, and... you can think of countless conversations between the characters in the photo... or not. Hahaha!

I was just wondering... the legalities of releasing photos of other folks. Do we need a signed consent form from them to do this? I would think so but don't know the details, ifs or whats online these days? 😬

I am no expert on the legalities to be honest, I do know in general unless someone states they are free to be used under a creative commons sort of thing, if one wants to use someone elese photos, they should at the least ask for permission

hi JJ, oh my goodness those are massive chunks of ice! When we were up in our large woodland a couple of weeks ago, the ponds were iced over and the ice was about an inch thick... definitely still too thin to walk on, but these clumps look pretty serious material...I'd still stay clear of frozen over ponds and lakes though... I mean I'd love to see them and skim stones over them etc hehe but never ever trust them to walk over! Nice little walk you did - seems like its warming up nicely your side of the world too!

I forgot to put my Wednesdaywalk tag in the first 5 lol... although I did put it in and I posted in the community... but then I forgot or add my post link to this post of yours - I guess I was maybe just a wee bit tired last night when I hit the publish button! And then I still fought sleep for a couple more hours trying to catch up on some blogs !LOLZ ... oh well... I think I shot at a perspective that makes the ice chunks look a lot bigger than they were :) \I am also very cautious on walking on frozen lakes, sometimes the ice can look a lot thicker and stronger than it really is

No worries about the tag not being in first five I generally find them which I did with yours a few minutes ago ;)
