Wednesday Walk around the Haskell gardens

Wednesday Walk around the Haskell gardens

This post if for Wednesday walk challenge And Make me Smile Collaboration challenge, initially our collaboration was once a month but due to the popularity of it we have decided to make the collab a weekly thing :)

Any questions about the challenge read the guide at the Bottom of the post ;)

I did actually get out for one walk in the past week and it was to the Haskell gardens here in new Bedford, it formally used to be a commercial gardens, but was taken over by an Organization who maintains it and keeps it open to the public for free

The thing there that catches my eye most is this colorful greenhouse,

Its a nice area to stroll around especially at this time of year with the trees growing back to life and with colorful blossoms such as you see in this next phot

As you may have guessed it was a grey and dull day, but it was the first day I felt enough energy to get out for a walk, and decided to head here as it is fairly small and I would not over do it walking about, although I may have over done it with all the photos I took :)

the flowers in the gardens had all sprung to life with their beautiful colors, I may do a post or two at some stage just focusing on the flowers

Weekly giveaway of shares

This week I am sending to the following who joined Wednesday Walk, for this week I did a random draw and the following each received some Hive @jerrytsuseer, @enginewitty, @xoxois, @jlinaresp and @misshugo

And @elizacheng will send to @suzana72

As @elizacheng and I collaborated with our Wednesday Walk and Make me Smile Challenges

And one person is randomly drawn who joins both challenges to receive one Hive from me and this week it is @TBA

Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.

This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines

Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.

Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.

Try and get a few shots not just one

Add a bit of a write up about where you walked

Just one Wednesday Walk tagged post a week

You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.

Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss

Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all, especially if its not one of the first 5 tags or I may miss seeing it .

Following me and re-Hiving the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion.

I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules

I will try and visit, and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk.

Make me Smile Collaboration

As I mentioned above Wednesday Walk is collaborating with the [Make Me Smile] hosted by @elizacheng,

Here are the rules for her challenge

Your post can be writing, singing, video, poem, drawing, photography etc.... the most important part is your post Make me" smile, Remember, the ME is whoever read/view/listen to your post and this includes YOURSELF.
b. Your content must be ORIGINAL CONTENT
c. Please include at least 50 Words in your post

I hope a few of you may find this an interesting challenge and decide to join in.

unless stated otherwise all photos used in my posts are taken and owned by myself, if you wish to use any of my images please contact me.

I love the multicolored windows on the greenhouse! That is pretty cool. The grass is so green there! We are still easing our way into Spring here. I finally had to break down and mow the lawn the other day though.

I had to do our lawns as well, well to be ho9nest I did a small section the grandson did the majority of it thankfully as the one small section wore me out lOL

I do love that greenhouse, and to be honest I did bring out the greens a little in editing

That has to be nice having him close to do that for you! I finished up the back yard tonight. I always forget how much it takes out of me the first couple of times.

I saw a dr yesterday all be it a lung Dr but talked about the blood loss and lack of energy, she looked at my results and said take it easy, the ferrous sulfate pills are doing there job but dont expect you to feel your energy back to normal for a few more weeks, which was good in a way and I was thinking I should be feeling better now, but also so frustrating to have to take it easy a bit longer if that makes sense

Zach loves doing yard work, he infact gets annoyed if I do it lOL

Oh wow, take it easy! Hopefully this course of action io they have you on will get you back to good soon! Im the same way with my parents. Drive me crazy when they try to do stuff on their own.

I think Lulus Son and family are somewhat shocked that I am being so much more sensible than usual this time but I realized quickly that this time will power and stubborness wasnt working lOL

That park sounds like our local arboretum here I like to visit during all seasons because there is always something to shoot.

Glad you were able to go out for a walk and collect some photos. I love that colorful greenhouse! I probably would have taken more shots of it.

It is a beautiful place. I really like flowers and I don't know why I don't just have a glorious garden, full of them. Something tells me I have to do it now...if I did, I'd dedicate it to Hive, because it's hivers that inspire me.

BTW, What's Denisse doing that she's not around.... didn't she see your flower post? Because everything that has to do with these creatures she smells it from far away ;)

it sure is a beautiful spot and you will have to share with us if you get a garden going, I was thinking of doing some work on a garden here this year, but not quite up to it yet and it may have to wait till next year

I am sure Denis is keeping herself busy she always is, :)
