Wednesday Walk a couple of short walks

Wednesday Walk a couple of short walks

This post if for Wednesday walk challenge And Make me Smile Collaboration challenge, initially our collaboration was once a month but due to the popularity of it we have decided to make the collab a weekly thing :)

Any questions about the challenge read the guide at the Bottom of the post ;)

For this weeks post I am sharing a couple of short walks I took recently and is focusing on the greens and wild flowers

the first walk was as I was waiting for my Grand daughter to get out of school
It was a nice day a little overcast but at around 60F quite pleasant, and I wondered into this field to catch some photos of wild flowers

All these photos are taken with my iPhone for a couple of reasons, firstly I had not taken my camera with me to the school, and secondly some say there photos are not good as they do not have a camera, and to highlight its all about havign fun and enjoying and sharing a walk and it doesn't matter what one uses to take the photos

I have a love hate with Dandelions I think they look cool, but they are taking over my lawn at home

getting down low in the field

Ok this next one wasn't in the field but in a garden near it

Now onto the second walk, which was around the house. this is our front lawn which was in a need of being trimmed with the Lawnmower, not sure they show up this well but the Dandelions are trying to take over this patch

and same with this area beside and behind the house

Now some may say with my recent issues I shouldn't be out doing yard work, well I did have a helper our Grandson, who not only is so kind to help actually loves using the lawn mower

You may have noticed he was wearing a gator, he to has been suffering with allergies, so I gave him one to use, which he was super happy with as he can also use it when he goes out riding quads with his uncle

and a Rare selfie of me, to show I to was wearing one while out working in the yard, and also when I walked through that field, since I am starting to feel better I dont want to let the allergies get to me again

and a couple of weeds/Wildflowers growing in our yard

Weekly giveaway of shares

This week I am sending to the following who joined Wednesday Walk, for this week I did a random draw and the following each received some Hive @dswigle, @taliakerch, @crazy-bee @jewelsofaura @pablo1601

And @elizacheng will send to @thefootprint

As @elizacheng and I collaborated with our Wednesday Walk and Make me Smile Challenges

And one person is randomly drawn who joins both challenges to receive one Hive from me and this week it is @TBA

Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.

This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines

Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.

Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.

Try and get a few shots not just one

Add a bit of a write up about where you walked

Just one Wednesday Walk tagged post a week

You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.

Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss

Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all, especially if its not one of the first 5 tags or I may miss seeing it .

Following me and re-Hiving the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion.

I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules

I will try and visit, and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk.

Make me Smile Collaboration

As I mentioned above Wednesday Walk is collaborating with the [Make Me Smile] hosted by @elizacheng,

Here are the rules for her challenge

Your post can be writing, singing, video, poem, drawing, photography etc.... the most important part is your post Make me" smile, Remember, the ME is whoever read/view/listen to your post and this includes YOURSELF.
b. Your content must be ORIGINAL CONTENT
c. Please include at least 50 Words in your post

I hope a few of you may find this an interesting challenge and decide to join in.

unless stated otherwise all photos used in my posts are taken and owned by myself, if you wish to use any of my images please contact me.

Good on your grandson for helping out. I remember that brief period when my son thought using the mower was fun. It didn't last 🙁 hopefully your grandson's infatuation will last longer 🤞

Those close up shots of the flowers are great! I feel like things are a bit greener there for you than they are here. We will catch up eventually! There is something oddly geometric and pleasant about dandelions even though they are such a scourge!

Good morning! The purple flowers are rhododendron bushes, such a beauty in the spring! I actually couldn't tell if it was Azelea or Rhodie, but, they are related, and you know how much some of the cousins look so much alike. Both beauties!

A selfie! We are honored! I half expected the back of the head, but, that is awesome and you posted it! You are really showing off the green today, Spring is there to stay, finally. It was a pretty tough spring all over the country.

I am undecided about the dandelions! They are nice little pops of pretty and then they blow away when done, to repopulate once again. I eradicated them this year, after letting them go their own way last year. What was I thinking?? I didn't really let them go as much as pulled them out by hand. Yeah, that really doesn't work. Good luck with the little buggers! Sometimes they grow so well that they can end up suffocating the grass. Thank you, dandelion! I would much rather have those buttercup flowers all over my lawn~ (first picture) although they are most likely out in the wild. I did have some on my lawn, does that mean I let it go wild?

Your grandson is a real trooper! So glad you moved close to them! I am sure that is nice for them (and you and Lulu!)

My name got drawn for a Hive prize! Thank you! 💖

It was a lovely walk for me! Thank you for taking us along! Happy #WednesdayWalk!

thanks I knew you would know what type of flower it was :)

LOL yeah selfies are rare from me, maybe when I let my hair grow a bit longer I will do one from the back :)

I do have a few of the buttercup flowers in our lawn, I did pull out a lot of the dandelions, the yard is looking a bit better, I love them when I see them in forest or on trails not so much in our lawn

Ohh yeah Zach is a great kid and loves helping doing the lawns and of course that he gets some money to spend :)

I have had a photographer saying the best camera is the one you have with you. True enough when it comes to snapping those unique moments from the right angle. Even more so when the lenses and built in production keeps getting better with each phone revision.

Awesome walk and a great way to inspire a whole new generation of blogging photographers.

I like to think I have a hack's eye at framing and obsession with depth of field at best as far as photography skills. That is all iPhone with no cropping or filter taken a couple days ago.

Beautiful captures @tattoodjay 👋🏻😊
Funny, I have some dandelions in my post too. Great selfie and indeed rare 🤓
Those gators do work somehow when one has allergies.

I’m kinda back and I am posting from today onwards some updates what happened the last months.
A walk around our bed and breakfast after we left Scotland and handed over our rental house:
“WARWICK HALL” - Warwick-on-Eden, Carlisle, UK 🇬🇧 ~ Wednesday Walk and some Time Traveling 🧳 📦

Hello dear friend @tattoodjay good day
Undoubtedly the best walks are the ones we do with the people we love. How good this walk in the company of your granddaughter, the place looks great and you have taken a beautiful picture with your phone
How great your grandson, she has done a great job mowing the lawn.
Nice photos, I appreciate you sharing.

I love all the photos. So green and refreshing and relaxing to the eyes. Yellow flowers are always photogenic. I never seen dandelion yet but we have a look alike here, haha. I think they're beautiful and unique.

Three thumbs up to your grandson. I think he's doing a good job and enjoying it, too. Too bad about the allergies, I have a different type of allergy and it's not fun at all.

You look great on the selfie. Please keep wearing that gator mask and stay well.

Absolutely beautiful pictures, am loving all the greenery and the wild flowers. The Iphone takes good pictures. Looks like a great summer is upcoming. I am glad your grandson is helping you mown the lawn and keep the dandelions at bay. Do keep enjoying your week as we move towards June. Thank you for sharing :}

hahaha we have the same love hate for some wild plants, in my house the rainy season has already started and with that we both know that the bush grows faster and I don't have a bush pruner my little hands help me to cut it with a little shovel.

Your photos are beautiful but an iphone is an iphone, your camera is a level above, I'm glad you have good equipment for photography.

What a great grandson, makes me think with all due respect you are an older gentleman, more than I thought hahaha thanks for that selfie, I like the blue in his eyes.

Nice ride , very nice thank you for sharing. @tattoodjay
