Sunrise on Popes Island
Happy Saturday everyone I hope you have a good weekend and get to do the things you enjoy.
I don't have any plans for this weekend my wife and I sort of play it by ear and see how it goes, with luck I may be able to get out and get some new photos of weather permits.
For todays post I am going to share some photos of an early morning walk on Popes Island.
This first photo is at one end of the island looking over the piers, as you can see from some snow on the ground and the empty piers this was taking during winter, last winter I managed to get out for more photo walks than I have this winter.

Popes Island is small Island between New Bedford and Fairhaven MA and is connected to the two by a couple of bridges, it has a marina, a childrens playground, a small park and is a nice spot to visit particularly for me in the early morning for the blue hour and the sunrise, the day I took these photos I was lucky and Mother nature gave some nice colors as the sun was rising.
This next shot is at the other end of the Island looking across at Fairhaven, the little island on the right is Crow Island, a small Island with a property on it, which I believe is now an BnB

The clouds make it! It was the clouds that struck me. Popes Island is magnificent with the backdrop of wonderful clouds!

Indeed it was a sunrise,
and it may be correct to say I was a sunrise sort of guy, I still do not trust Lulu to ge tup on her own with her shoulder, so when I get out for photowalks going forward ( when it warms up a little) I think I will be doing more daytime or sunset walks ;)
I get it, and that makes perfect sense.
The healing process is not a force to be reckoned with. I'm glad to see things are getting better.
