Sublime and Beautiful Sunday Thinking back to warmer days and warmer colors

Thinking back to warmer days and warmer colors

This post is for #SublimeSunday is inspired by @c0ff33a and #BeautifulSunday is initiated by @ace108.

We are having a bit of a cold spell at the moment, temps at peak around freezing point, so I have bene hibernating indoors, well I wish I was hibernating, shall I say I have been a hermit stuck indoors, but luckily i have plenty of photos in my archives I can edit and share.
I havent been totally lazy though, instead of heading out for my morning walks I love taking around sunrise, I still am wide awake at 4Am as usual, and about the time I would go out for a walk on a nice day, I head to our sunroom and walk in cicles back and forth around the room, trying to get a minimum of 6K steps in before I hard up onto my computer to edit photos, prepare posts and try and visit other posts, the last one i have been slack on but i need to work on that.

So for today I looked through my photos on Lightroom and picked a few shots from back in Fall where we had warmer days and indeed warmer colors

Starting with this Tulip which I think I saw either at the Haskell Public Grdens or in Buttonwood Park both here in New Bedford

When I import photos into lightroom i always add the location where I took photos, but in this case I went to both spots on one outing and didnt clearly mark where one walk finished and the next started

This next one is for sure in Haskell Gardens I love these two trees and their colorful blossoms

And this one i am sure is in Buttonwood Park My Dad always had daffodils in his garden, and for sure had a green thumb both his flower and vege gardens were so well kept and did so well, I didnt inherit a grene thumb from him I will admit

You make me feel lazy! I’m still in bed, and you’ve already done 6,000 steps 🤣
I really like your daily routine. Walking indoors is such a smart idea to stay fit, and of course, photo editing is a wonderful hobby.
I hope this cold weather passes quickly! Nothing beats enjoying nature on warm days.

Well I am building bakc up again, I would much rather be out walking with my camera but too cold for me at the moment, for the last week I have managed to get over 10K steps each day and happy with that

That’s fantastic progress, well done on keeping up with over 10K steps daily for the past week! I totally understand how hard it can be to stay motivated when it’s too cold to enjoy being outdoors with your camera. Maybe you could experiment with some indoor photography or use this time to plan new locations for when the weather warms up. Keep up the amazing work—you’re doing great!

Haha see? You CAN be productive and active and creative when you hibernate! I still get dragged out into the winter because of the dog, family and running a company that deals with the community. Still, I love a day in.

This month, I have woken myself up with squats and pushups in addition to coffee and it does wonders.

I love to jump back to warmer times in my feed to make it spring in my mind via my photo gallery.

Here’s to being active, creative, happy and profitable in the dead of winter!🥶

It’s amazing how you’re handling the winter chill! Staying active indoors and getting in those 6K steps is really impressive. Also, it’s great that you’re spending time editing and sharing your photos—what a creative way to keep busy! The tulip photo sounds lovely, and it’s always nice to see warm colors during the colder months. It really lifts the mood!

Aren't flowers beautiful? I love those flowering trees, I remember in the Caribbean I had a couple in my yard that bloomed all year long! It's funny how one flower like the daffodil can bring back memories of your parents. Sunflowers are the one that my mom always planted and it reminds me of her.

Beautiful photos! I hope that cold spell passes soon for you so you can escape the house!
