Sublime and Beautiful Sunday

Sublime and Beautiful Sunday

Here it is Mothers Day, so first let me wish all the Mothers a Happy Mothers Day

This post is for #SublimeSunday is inspired by @c0ff33a and #BeautifulSunday is initiated by @ace108.
Good Morning , day, evening or night depending on when you read this, for todays shots I am sharing some of the beautiful spring flowers I have seen on a recent walk

This walk was in the Haskell Gardens here in New Bedford, its a lovely little spot so let me tell you a little about it
For over 30 years, lifelong New Bedford resident Allen C. Haskell cared for this property as a successful nursery. Haskell was so known for his horticultural talents that celebrities like Martha Stewart and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis were among his fans. After Haskell’s passing, The Trustees saved the property in 2012 to protect this unique urban garden from development.

Today, the Allen C. Haskell Public Gardens feature six acres of carefully designed gardens, greenhouses, and one of the oldest houses in New Bedford, all arranged around a wide green common space — perfect for a sunlit picnic or to explore with a camera. Pick up some bulbs, plants, and seeds at the visitor’s center, or learn a new gardening skill at one of the horticultural workshops Haskell Gardens hosts throughout the year.

and boy would he have been proud to see his gardens when I visited it recently, the team were workign away maintinaining the grounds and the flowers were out in force.

Starting with these which I think are Hyacinths, although I tend to think of them as little blue bells

Beautiful colors and really nice tulip bed in that last shot. Maybe Martha Stewart will come visit again, it looks great. I saw her on TV last night. I guess she is back after that short stint in prison 😅

Perfect collection of blooms for Mother’s Day! Reminds me I am due to get down to some garden maintenance and prep today before heading over to brew an Irish red and a west coast ipa.

I will have to see what else has bloomed over the past sunmy week and share them for sublime Sunday.

Great shots with some gorgeous colors. I love blue flowers, it's just such a rare thing in nature. I've always wanted to see the tulip fields in the Netherlands, but haven't ever made it that way in the spring.
