Sublime and Beautiful Sunday - Sunrises

This post is for #SublimeSunday is inspired by @c0ff33a and #BeautifulSunday is initiated by @ace108.

Those who have followed me for a bit will know that for me the most beautiful aight and start of the day is catching a sunrise, for me it is so refreshing and indeed sublime

Lets me start with sunrise just as the sun is about to peak over the horizon on the beach in Fort Tabor Park here in New Bedford

You may or may not have noticed I often use F11 Aperture for my morning sunrise landscape shots and perhaps I should talk about that a bit

F11 is often called the goldilocks setting for landscape photography. When shooting a vast scene, you usually want everything—from the wildflowers or more often than not for me sand at your feet to the distance across the water to look crisp and sharp.
Using a narrow aperture like f/11 creates a deep depth of field, ensuring the entire frame stays in focus. It is widely considered the "sweet spot" for most lenses; it’s small enough to capture immense detail front-to-back, but not so small that it causes "diffraction," which can actually make your photos look blurry. It’s the perfect balance for high level clarity.

and then after talking about all that I used F9 for this next shot LOL still on the beach but closer to the pier on another day

Back to F11 for this next shot, and on a beach but another one, just outside of the fort is East Beach, a very popular beach during the day in summer, but mostly deserted early morning when I visit there

And that’s all folks

That explanation of the "Goldilocks setting" for F11 was actually very helpful! It’s great to see the technical reasoning behind those crisp, deep-focus shots. Even when you switched to F9 for that 30-second exposure near the pier, the clarity was still top-notch.
