Sublime and Beautiful Sunday - Distinctive doors

OF recent after I did the photo walk in Fall with with an Artist collaborative group, where we had to with our eyes closed draw a crayon and then look for subjects with that color, I have mentioned it a couple of time sin posts and shared some red photos, but on that walk it reminded me to focus on some of the smaller details and not always be looking at and taking photographs of wide scenes such aas sunrises, and buildings.

But to look around and look for cool details.

Spinning off from that, when I passed the Seamen's Bethel here in New Bedford, I looked at the door, and I remembered how back when I used to work in New York City, I was noticing cool doors here and there and did a series I called Doors of Distinction.

So on recent walks, I have not only been looking for smaller details but also for cool or interesting doors, and that's what I will share today.
Since I mentioned the Seamens Bethel lets start with that

I sort of kicked myself that I have walked by the Bethel so many times and only now thought of taking a shot of the door
This is one door in the Rodman Candleworks building, which was constructed around 1815 by industrialist Samuel Rodman Sr. It is significant as a rare surviving monument of the 19th-century whaling economy, built for spermaceti candle production

this is the door to a shop in the Historic District; not surprisingly, it was closed as I took this at around 5 AM

Now this photo was taken on the walk in Fall River I mentioned earlier

And this door is on St. John the Baptist church on County Street here in New Bedford, according to Google, it was closed for many years and is currently sitting there vacant
