Sublime and Beautiful Sunday A spring walk

Sublime and Beautiful Sunday A spring walk

\

This post is for #SublimeSunday is inspired by @c0ff33a and #BeautifulSunday is initiated by @ace108.

For me what is most sublime at the moment is the spring like weather we have had recently, with highs in the mid to low 70s and warm enough for me to get out for morning walks again and see the beauty of the start of a new day.

that said, the shots I will share today are from the one-day time walk I have taken so far.

I dont get out for day time walks so much as my wife doesnt fele up to getting out and about much these days and I feel bad heading out and doign what I enjoy while she is stuck at home, but I am hoping to get her out for a few times over the warmer months, even if I dont get to take photos, it would be good for her to get out.

But I digress lets get to these photos.

Buttonwood park is a lovely park here called by many, including myself the jewel of the city, it is about 97 acres so quite large. But the shots I took today are all in a small part of it near the pond

Let me start with some daffodils, their lovely bright yellows are often the first sign of spring taking hold and as such I do love to see them.

Alas lookig at the forecast ahead seems its going to be cooling down for a few days, dropping to below freezing point tonight apparently, but hopefully the temps will bounce back up quickly

Now this next shot came as a surpise to me as I was walking around the pond, I often see ducks on the pond, but not sure I have seen a Cormorant there before, luckily I had my longer 50-400mm lens with me as was able to catch this shot of them

Of course if you know me you know that if I visit the pond I always end up taking a shot of this tree on an island inthe middle of the pond

The park has this one open field where as you can see tons of daffodils comeup

Hello, dear friend @tattoodjay.

Great that you're enjoying the spring days. I think it's the best time of year for walking.

I see that your area is full of blooms in spring, and I love the sight of them. But what caught my eye was a duck swimming, looking so cool and beautiful.

Love those daffodils. We are getting the cold weather today. Quite a bit of snow but don't think it will stick at all. Your wife would love all those daffodils I bet 🙂

The "jewel of the city" definitely lived up to its name today! Those daffodils are such a vibrant, happy sign that spring is finally taking hold. Using F9 for that flower shot was a great choice—the colors are so crisp and the depth is perfect.
