Sublime and Beautiful Sunday A few reflections here and there
A few reflections here and there
This post is for #SublimeSunday, which is inspired by @c0ff33a, and #BeautifulSunday is initiated by @ace108.
I was thinking about what to share for these two themes today, and didnt want to go with sunrises again, althought I have plentyof sunrise shots from recent walks, I thought abiout birds, but i only have a couple of recent bird photos and should try to get some more, and then I remembered when I was out for my walk I after the light got better was looking for and catching some reflections and thought that is what I would go for today.
Now this first one is perhaps sublime or stange, but I like it

Now I like including towers in photos, because back when I was younger, I used to build, climb, and dismantle communications towers, not my favorite part of the job when I worked in the field, I will admit.
Now, this shot I have played around with a bit. I rotated it so the final image is actually upside down from the original photo, and I also did a bit of an oil painting feel to it.
not so recent but fits this theme of reflections the USS Joseph P. Kennedy Jr in Battleship Cove, Fall River

this also from yesterday's walk, I went for a sepia edit on this one
and you may note a few spots on it which I clearly missed when editing it, and reminds me to clean my sensor after finishing preparing this post

Now this shot would have been even cooler if the heron that had been sitting on one of the rosks had not flown away just before I took the photo, but I still like it

and to finish off a couple more ships from Battleship cove

And that’s all folks
unless stated otherwise all photos used in my posts are taken and owned by myself, if you wish to use any of my images please contact me.

Excellent reflection shots 👍 I like the old navy ships. Reminds me of the mothball fleet parked in the upper reaches of San Francisco bay. I think they have finally decommissioned those ships and they are gone.

It's fascinating how a physical reflection in the water can prompt such a deep personal reflection. Hearing about your past experience climbing and building those communication towers adds a wonderful layer of human history to that abstract first image.
