Sublime and Beautiful Sunday a few more blossoms
This post is for #SublimeSunday is inspired by @c0ff33a and #BeautifulSunday is initiated by @ace108.
For this week's post for these tags with it being cool and grey here, I thought I would share some lovely colors and decided to go with some blossoms I took these on a nice spring day on a visit to Haskell Gardens , so let me tell you a little about it
For over 30 years, lifelong New Bedford resident Allen C. Haskell cared for this property as a successful nursery. Haskell was so known for his horticultural talents that celebrities like Martha Stewart and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis were among his fans. After Haskell’s passing, The Trustees saved the property in 2012 to protect this unique urban garden from development.
Today, the Allen C. Haskell Public Gardens feature six acres of carefully designed gardens, greenhouses, and one of the oldest houses in New Bedford, all arranged around a wide green common space — perfect for a sunlit picnic or to explore with a camera. Pick up some bulbs, plants, and seeds at the visitor’s center, or learn a new gardening skill at one of the horticultural workshops Haskell Gardens hosts throughout the year.
I have mentioned how many call Buttonwood park the Jewel of the city, I tend to think of Haskell gardens as the hidden gem of the city.
Why hidden you may wonder, well from the road its easy to drive by and not notice it for one, secondly, when I have shared shots from there on other social media sites, I often get asked where it is and, thirdly, whenever I have visited there I find very few people there, normally at most one or two
but now onto the blossoms

Calling it a "hidden gem" seems very fitting. It’s rare to find six acres of beautifully designed space that remains so quiet and peaceful. Sometimes it’s a blessing when the best spots stay off the main radar so you can enjoy them in solitude!
yes thats true I do enjoy the peace and quiet when I visit there wouldnt be the same if it was busy
Have a great day
Thank you
