Sublime and Beautiful Sunday a few flowers

This post is for #SublimeSunday is inspired by @c0ff33a and #BeautifulSunday is initiated by @ace108.

Good Morning, I hope your weekend is going well, have a super Sunday

For this week I am going back to a walk and some photos I took back in Spring, a few flowers I spotted at the Haskell Gardens

A little bit about the gardens
The late Allen C. Haskell, a lifelong New Bedford resident and famed horticulturist, assembled these six acres—the site of a traditional New England-style common, beautiful historic gardens, and one of the oldest homes in the city—over more than 30 years. Today, it’s a public park and unlikely botanical respite, blooming in the heart of New Bedford.
It is supported by a Group called the Trustees who maintain many parks in the area.
I call it the hidden Jewel of the city as when I share photos from there on some social media sites I often get asked where it is and told by people who have lived here all their life they had no idea it existed, such a shame really its such a beautiful spot

Firts up we have one saw that google tells me is an Echinops which is a genus of about 130 species of flowering plants in the family Asteraceae, commonly known as globe thistles

and this next one which I have shared other shots of before is an Cosmos atrosanguineus, the chocolate cosmos, is a species of Cosmos, native to Mexico. It has often been claimed that it is extinct in the wild; however it is "quite abundant" in Mexico. The species was introduced into cultivation in 1885, when the British seed company Thompson & Morgan first listed it in their seed catalogue. Its dark red to brownish red flowers have a scent resembling chocolate, which is one reason for its popularity as a cultivated plant.

and this next one is Floribunda (Latin for "many-flowering") is a modern cultivar group of garden roses that was developed by crossing hybrid teas with polyantha roses,

and no i have no become an expert on flowers, these descriptions I am finding from image search on google

It's so wonderful to find these hidden gems, and what a lot of work it takes to maintain a place like this, full of beautiful flowers.

A real botanical garden with so many species, and I think about how long it must have taken to put it together and care for it. I love the second flower for its colour; it reminds me of a rose bush I had that was the same colour, and the third evokes the immense purity of flowers that bring beauty and delicious aromas to human beings. Thank you for these beautiful photographs and for telling us about this beautiful place. Hugs!

That globe thistle and chocolate cosmo are beautiful. Excellent job on the closeups on all of them, but the first two are definitely my favorites. Yours too judging by how you place them first and second. Haskell Gardens sure looks like a gorgeous place!
