Saturday series car shows - some sporty looking cars
Good Morning all, as is my habit on Saturdays I am sharing some shots of car shows I visited this year, and today some more from a 60s themed night in the historic district here in New Bedford. it was a cool event as not only did so many cars turn up for people to see but they had a few vendors in spots around the streets as well as three spots where live music was being played, but I didn't stay too long as it got quite crowded and I really do not like crowds, yeah I know you can feel free to call me anti-social LOL
For this week I selected a few cars I thought looked kind of sporty and back when I was younger most of these cars I would have loved to owned or be driving around in, funny how with cars and for that matter many things our tastes or preferences can change.
speaking of tastes and nothing to do with cars which I will get back to talking about soon, my tastes sure have changed from when I was younger, I was a red meat and Potatoes sort of guy for many a year, would barely eat other vegetables and never have salads calling them rabbit food, now I find myself eating less meat and enjoying more healthy veges and salads, I think a mix of trying to eat healthier and as I have finding I actually enjoy some healthier foods LOL
OK and back to cars and how my preferences have changed but first a photos of a nice Corvette

I know I have said it before but I will say it again, as I have got older and my knees let me know more how badly I treated them when I was younger the thought of getting in and out of low sporty cars like these just does not appeal to me anymore but that said I do enjoy checking them out at car shows

This car had such a nice paintjob and looked so well cared for, the owner even had a sign in the window saying not to touch it

I remember when I first saw a car with the pop up headlights I thought they looked so cool but now I am not so keen on them

Beautiful selection of car photos... The green one with the black stripe looked like a Mazda "Miata" to me, a true Japanese gem, very well preserved...

How are you dear friend @tattoodjay good morning
What a beautiful collection of sports cars, I think that to drive this type of car there is no age, you just have to have enough money to be able to buy them
I take this opportunity to wish you a wonderful weekend.

Same and I owned one. They stick sometimes plus in the winter the get frozen down stuck. I see one today and think nope won't own another.
I know my perspectives have changed a lot with times when I was much younger. Cars, food, music and other things that my mind won't let go of right now, haha.
good to hear the perspective from someone that has owned one

Wow! I love the cars @tattoodjay ! Well, I love looking at them. I would probably take the little two-seater car (minus the stainless thing protruding on the top) with a nice paintjob, hehehe!

Can't go wrong with a Vette. Love that Ford GT. I remember they used to look so modern and sleek. Now they seem old and a bit dated but I still love them.

That Ford GT from the 60s is just so beautiful. 😍 Great content 😍
Awesome Photography 👌
Wow! I saw this Saturday and was about to respond but work dragged me away. That black number with flames is just my speed. Too bad I'm too tall and like you have bad knees from too many years of basketball and serving in the Army. I'm pretty much stuck with an SUV because of the joints and my height!
were the same with stuck with SUvs, also from army and smashing my knees in addition to rugby and motocross in my younger years
