a nice early morning walk on Lake street Acushnet MA

Good Morning and have a great weekend

I have been enjoying the nice weather and getting out for plenty of sunrise walks, I did miss them over the long cold winter we had.

Been trying to go to a different spot each morning at least for the start till I run out of spots close enough to get to with the sunrise being so early at the moment, as I write this sunrise was at 5:17 AM this morning and since i like to get to the spot at least an hour before sunrise to catch the blue hour, means i have to head out of the house just after 4AM, a time when most sensible people are still enjoying a good nights sleep.

So the other day well yesterday as I type, a week ago-ish as you read it, I headed to Lake Street in Acushnet a neighboring town to New Bedford and only a 17-minute drive from home.

Its a lovely spot, beside three lakes or ponds, one of them being the New Bedford Water Reservoir, so let me stop wafling and share some photos

as I said I like to get there for the blue hour, as much as I love colorful sunrises, the deep morning blues before sunrise are something i love seeing and capturing

this is looking over one of the ponds just near where I parked, I could see a few stars inthe sy, but with a 30 second exposure they moved a little and were more like little lines, so I replaced them with white dots where the three stars I saw where.

and back near where I parked the car just before I packed up and headed home, I noticed this little library, which I had not noticed before, and for those who like to enjoy nature and not walk back and forth like a mad man as I do , uyou coud grab a book sit on the bench and relax

Good morning, Mr. @tattoodjay.

It's true, at that hour many people are still asleep, unless they're passionate about beautiful sunrises like you.

What a beautiful place you visited; you took some truly gorgeous photos.

Have a great day.

Nice to see some morning blues from your morning walks. Good you are getting the weather and time to get back in the routine. Interesting you talk about hitting all the "regular" spots. When we first start hiking in the spring/summer, we have a list of spots we try to hit to make sure we see them before falling in a routine of going to the easier spots close to the house.
