On the rocks

On the rocks

Good Morning and have a good day

As I was looking throiugh my photos trying to decide what to share in this post I noticed I do seem to have a tendency to like to take photos of rock and rock walls and the like so thought i would pick a few in different locations and different days to share today

Not sure what it is I like about Rock walls both as water breaks as I share a few of here but also old style rock walls I come across on trail walks, maybe thinking of the simplicity of times gone by

THis is where i park often if I plan to walk along the Harbor walk her ein New Bedford and whenever I do my first shot I take as I check i have the setting on the camera right for early morning walks is of this pier, and as fits with this post the rock wall beside the boat ramp here

How is the A7 IV? Seemed like quite a steep price up from the A7 III but I didn't notice many major changes

I am enjoying it, the changes may not be major but I found them handy and had some cash around at the time so went for it
the ones that come to mind are

the viewfinder is improved and the auto switch from eye to screen seems quicker and more reliable to me
it also has three custom settings on the dial which I use a lot if shooting scenes and a bird comes into view I can quickly switch my default starting settings for flying birds
I am sure there are some other small changes but those are the ones to come to mind

That all said the A7111 is great and is it worth it to upgrade if tight for cash erhaps not to be honest

Wonderful photos! I love those sea side landscapes, and at sunrise or sunset even more, where colors on the sky are really nice and special.

Your use of perspective in the last two photos really makes them stand out. Whether it was intended or not. Great shots as always! I've always been a fan of rocks ever since I was a kid. I still have a tumbler somewhere, but I haven't used it in years.

Awesome is the photography scene that always makes me happy. The beautiful rocks and the moon in the sky falling in the water make you very happy. Along with that, the beautiful scenery of the rocks makes me more happy. I respect your magnificence in taking that perfect picture. Also that view of the blue water makes me more charming. Thank you very much for the wonderful photography gift. May God always bless you with beautiful healthy days.

I think piers and rock walls are iconic shoreside scenes. Easy to be drawn to photographing them. I like the way your post is kinda like sunrise... goes from darker blues to orange and yellow and lighter blue 🙂

I would love to live somewhere that I can spend the morning taking photos of watching the morning sky change colors. Definitely a lovely way to start the day!

Long exposure at the shore during the blue hour... I also have a soft spot for these.
Wonderfully done!

The seaside holds a special charm for me, maybe because of the cool looks and then the calming effect. The skies are so blue.
