Not much walking this week

Hasn't been a great week for walking for me but I thought I should still do a post and here it is

Starting with my view for the last 5 days over the end of a hospital bed

1000005027.jpg

Why in hospital you may ask nothing to major at all

I had pretty intense stomach pain for a few days are bad diarrhea so ending up going to the urgent care centre

Who told me to get to the hospital emergency room As soon as possible as I had bowel blockages and would need surgery

So that I did and hence the view above when I got to a ward

The Surgeon's that did my colon surgery last year took the lead and put off surgery instead had me on no food at all on a drip and bed rest hoping this would allow the intestines and bowels to relax and get back into shape

Because of the two surgeries last year the internal scarring and how long it took my internal system to get running again last year they wanted to avoid surgery

After 2 days they tried me on a liquid diet
Doesn't it look so yummy

1000005113.jpg

Well my system wasn't ready yet with my body rejecting it at both ends so back on just the drip for 3 more days

Yesterday evening they started me on liquid diet again and so far so good so hopefully one step closer to being over this and heading home

Haven't been totally idle here been walk8ng the hospital corridors

Caught a nice sunset from the window of my room

And this morning walking the corridors saw this nice sunrise

Sure not as n8ce as my beach sunrise walks
But me being me and mr positive I took seeing the sunrise as an omen I am getting better and heading home soon

Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.

This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines

Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.

Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.

Try and get a few shots not just one

Add a bit of a write up about where you walked

Just one Wednesday Walk tagged post a week

You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.

Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss

Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all, especially if its not one of the first 5 tags or I may miss seeing it .

Following me and re-Hiving the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion.

I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules

And that’s all folks

unless stated otherwise all photos used in my posts are taken and owned by myself, if you wish to use any of my images please contact me.

Ah man, I hope you can get feeling better soon. I understand about them not wanting to do surgery. My friend is in a really similar position. He had some blood flow problems to his intestines and it caused them to pull out about 50% of the small intestine just about a year ago now.

Yeah i think they did The right thing
Sure surgery may have been quicker but perhaps nit the recovery if it went sane as last year

Hi, @tattodjay

I'm sorry for your illness. I trust you'll soon be home, fully recovered, so you can continue walking around every Wednesday, photographing your world with the usual skill that amazes us.

By the way, I loved both the sunset and sunrise from the hospital window.

Womp sorry that you have to deal with a hospital stay. Keep the positive attitude you'll get through it. I wish they had more comfortable beds in the hospital, that was the worst part of my experiences with them. I had a bout with two brain surgeries then later a hip surgery. Waiting in the bed was the worst part.

Feel better soon and I hope you would not need to have another surgery again this time. Always pay attention to what you eat and drink in the future to prevent same situation.

Thanks
I did ask if it was food related so I could make changes but was told it's more caused by scar tissue

I hope that with this liquid diet everything will return to normal and you can go home soon, and I really hope there won't be any more surgery. Recovery is often difficult because of the scars that form inside, but you'll see how everything turns out great. The views from the window at sunset and sunrise are great... keep walking up and down the corridors! Big hug and take good care of yourself!🤗

Oh my, so sorry to hear that happened. I think it was a good decision from the doctor to wait especially after last years surgery. Let’s hope the system starts up again and no further problems.
Sending you good healing vibes.
Take care @tattoodjay

Hi JJ, the good news in this situation is that you decided to go to the clinic. Had you not done so, then matters would have been much worse. I thought that they would discover that it is a hernia that causes the constipation, but not so. I am also happy that the doctor decided not to operate.
We wish you a complete recovery, and that you will soon be up and about again.

Oh wow, I'm happy you are starting to keep something down! Walking the hallways of a hospital aren't much fun and the scenery doesn't change that often, but it does give you some exercise. Hope you get to go home soon and start feeling better!

After those days of rest, am sure your intestines are recovering well. Glad you are able to walk around which helps with proper blood circulation throughout the body.
The sunrise pictures looking superb and I love your positive attitude towards recovery.
