Monochrome Monday some Commercial fishing boats
For this weeks post in Monochrome, I am back at the port, focusing this week on some of the commercial fishing boats
Known as the "Scallop Capital of the World," New Bedford ports fleet lands roughly 80% of the nation's sea scallops, with the port generating over $322 million in direct sales, of course not all these are scallop boats, well I think I am no expert, infact know very little about the type of boats and what fishing they do, I should try and learn more bout them, I am kind of shy and seldom talk to people wen I am out on photo walks, but I should try to visit the port during the day and speak to some of the crew of ships and try to educate myself better.
May never happen but it is a goal I am setting myself now as I type this

Like this next one the Atlantic prince, and the fact it has nets, do they use nets to catch scallops, well I now know from a google search yes the do use specialized nets to bring in scallops but I have no idea if its this type of net or boat that dos it so it may catch scallops or other fish

as this showe shows there is quiet a variety of nboats and styles docked here in New Bedford, even though I do not know to much about them I do enjoy seeing and taking photos of them

now googhle did tell me the queen of Peacer is a scallopper l, but what caught my eye in this shot was the rust and wear and tear onthe other boat so I went with selective color for this shot to higlight it
