Mono Monday some recent shots from the past week

Mono Monday some recent shots from the past week

Good morning all another week begins and as is my habit on mondays I start the week with a mono Post, and this week there all shots I have taken on walks this past week.

Starting with this seagull sitting on one of the posts on the pier

and speaking of the pier, I have taken many shots of the pier, mostly in the early morning, but being there taking a walk waiting to pickup my granddaughter from her school nearby I noticed the supports of the pier and all the cool worn detail, in color it doesn't really stand out but i do like it in Mono.

Not this next photo of a dried up Hydrangea plant isnt truly a mono shot or edited for mono but the colors are as shot and I felt it sort of had a mono feel to it.

and my mind is shall I say bizarre or weird, when I saw this I thought to myself when they are like this are they called drydrangeas LOL

This next shot was in a little park I visited for the first time recently Victory Park here in New Bedford, which I shared some shots of in my Wednesday Walk post, a lovely little park but I think it will look so much nicer when spring brings new growth and the greens out.

What happens when I pick up my Grand daughter from school, is i get there early so I can get a park for my car near the exit she comes out, and if its nice and since i have 45 minutes or more to wait I take a stroll down to the water, and its funny on the days its cloudy and grew and I do not take my camera I see a few fishing boats coming into port, but on the days i take my camera I seldom see any this, on this weeks two visits I only saw one the Pamela Ann

Mono really does seem to fit Monday.

The Pamela Ann, I think, is my favourite of these. Very pretty ship.

Great mono captures. The sea gull is a classic mono look and the drydrangea 🤣 I use those for fire starters lol They work pretty good if they are dry enough. Good to get the fires started to burn all the stuff that fell in my yard this winter.

I had not thought of them for firestarters, but I bet they work so well the ones I saw were so dry

I was hardly out taking photos for a few months for a variety of reasons I was a bit rusty when I started again so I do understand

The mono really shows off the textures, especially in the close-ups. It adds interest to the picture by adding tonal differences.

Love the third shot for that exact reason.

I hope you have a great week ahead!

dry-drangeas LOL.

The first thing I thought when I saw those dry flowers was the fact that they were a lot of butterflies, I don't know , lol.
