Mono Monday from the Port to Fort Tabor

Mono Monday from the Port to Fort Tabor

Good morning all, I hope you had a good weekend, got what you needed done, but also found some time to relax and do what you enjoy.

As I am off the habit of doing on Mondays I am sharing a few mono Images today, these were taken from the same walk as I shared for my Wednesday walk post, starting off at the port.

Starting with this shot of some of the Ropes used to tie up the commercial fishing boats in the port.

Funnily enough as I said in a comment to someone recently, with me not getting out for my old habit of early morning walks before and during sunrise I was a bit shall I say frustrated, but I am finding I am really enjoy the new habit of daylight walks and seeing photo opportunities i may not even have noticed on early morning walks.

Such as this pulley on one of the commercial fishing boats.

Now this next photo or the subject this rusty platform at the port, I took a couple of shots like this one in color which I shared in my Wednesday Walk post, and then I tried this one in Mono, which I also really liked, I was going to share just one of them but then ended up using both between the two posts.

I mentioned in my Walk post how I ended up in Fort Tabor, and between taking photos of what I was chasing, which I wont say what yet, that I may reveal on Friday, I took a shot of Fort Rodman, which I tried I slightly different style of mono Edit.

Nice maritime mono Monday 😁 We had some long standing walk routines we loved when we lived in California. Then reluctantly changed them up and saw new a different things. Sometimes change is good 👍

That first photo reminds me of a video I saw the other week. A guy was throwing rope around a cleat like that and it was so effortless for him. Like he wasn't even trying. It was pretty amazing. Awesome shots!

The skills some people have with ropes and lassos is impressive I tried once and was useless at it LOL

Port to fort! Nice hook for a cool photo walk. Something about the ropes and rigging that make for such wonderful monomad images.

Hopefully I can start not doing Mondays soon!

I am going to need a lot more than luck. I do try and schedule my phone meetings then and leave the morning free to catch up but Mondays are here to stay in this phase of the business!

Yah.

I have been slowly stealing back my time but still happy to work hard now for benefits later. That game gets old as we do though so I celebrate those who have Mondays off passionately!

This reminds me of the time I used to volunteer on the Kalmar Nyckel in Wilmington. That is a truly wondrous ship.

It really was. I miss it. My daughter and I volunteered at the same time, so it was easy for me to make the time for it. Alas, I don't have that anymore.

Maybe in the future you may have more time and can do something similar again
