Mono Monday a few shots from recent walks

Mono Monday a few shots from recent walks

Good Morning
I hope you all had a good weekend, mine was nice and quiet for the most part, didnt get out for much in the way of photo walks as it was either raining or very windy, but the forecast looks good as this week progresses

As I tend to do on Mondays I am sharing few mono images, taken on recent walks

Starting with this shot taken in the Haskell Gardens on my most recent walk, I felt this one needed a splash of color

Next up is from a walk I did on the Cove walk here in New Bedford, another walk built on top of the Hurricane Barrier wall, I had been for a sunrise walk at Fort Taber Park, and heading back I stopped and decided to walk the lenght of this walk back and forth, its about 1 Mile from one end to the other.

To be honest I didnt get many good photos that morning, my mind wasnt really tuned to taking photos, the day before our daugher in Laws cousin passed away from a battle with cancer, he was such a nice guy and only 49, so sad.
thats the reason I went to Fort Taber, I had meet him there once and we walked the park while I was taking photos of one of his dogs and we chatted, was the only time i had real one on one time with him, as most other times I saw him was at family events or car shows with plenty of people around.

When my mind gets tied up or I am upset walking is the way I like to deal with it, so walking where I had walked with him and talking to him and bidding farewell in my head was just what I needed that morning

Good morning, dear friend @tattoodjay, happy new week.

It's a shame you couldn't go for a walk because of the weather. I hope it improves soon and you can get out of the house to take some beautiful photos.

Beautiful shots.

Have a great day.

Hello Mr. @tattoodjay, how are you?

I love these monochrome photographs, especially those of old buildings. They're so beautiful.

I hope the weather is nice soon and you can go for a walk.

Have a beautiful morning.

Ah those photos are damn good. Perhaps it is just your mind flipping back to the mourning that spurs them a bit for you.

When I am out walking alone, my brain constantly hashes out critical conversations I might have with people about issues to solve. It distracts me a little from living in the moment but following photographers here has gotten me into the habit of pausing, observing and photographing some of the simple sights and perspectives.

Plus, from my perspective, I sit here with my coffee in my curation chair and get to have a walk down by the water with you. Solid.

For me, it is pushups and coffee and the walk is to try and unplug from the business day. Still the fresh air, change in perspective and circulation is just what we need.

Thanks for sharing these amazing and beautiful photos in the Mono style. They really have a special effect that shows different feelings and details compared to color photos.

I love the shot from Haskell Gardens, nice effect of color in the flower and mono background. I really like the pier shot, so desolate and is perfect in mono, great job!
