Market Friday the clam Bar

Market Friday the clam Bar

A post for Market Friday hosted by @dswigle, if you haven't followed her yet you should she is one of the kindest and most supportive people here on Hive, a comment from her is like a ray of sunshine on your page.
This is the one tag and challenge that I always make a point of joining, and also look through the posts of others that join the challenge and seeing markets from all around the world.

For this weeks post, shock of shocks I am actually doing a post about something that actually clearly sells things and hence can be considered a market the Clam Bar.

it is down at the port, near to the Black whale restaurant and I think it is owned by them, but this is a small shack as you can see with some outdoor seating

this next shot shows the outdoor seating right by the water, all be it at the port and not on a beach

now I have shared a shot or two of this place before for a portion of a Market Fridya post, but when I was down there the other day I noticed the chalkboard menus and thought it may be interestign to some to share what they have and the prices

I havent eaten here yet but should give it a try sometime, being in New England and since its bene a while since i have had one I would be tempted to try the Lobster Roll, but at $26.95 it better be good, it maybe its because i haven't had one for a while that seems expensive to me.

closer in to show the prices more clearly

And another thing i would try is the fish and Chips, but me and my wife are picky about them, maybe because we loved the style of fish and chips in New Zealand and the UK

and I am wondering what is a pearl hot god?

This is such a cute shack. The menu names sound intriguing. Does the pineapple painkiller really takes away the pain? 😁

Very cool! That's really smart of them to have a little satellite location like this down where there is more activity! This looks like it would be a really cool place to hangout. Though I don't know if my wallet could handle the prices of that fresh seafood. I'm guessing those would probably be the best $27 Lobster Rolls I have ever had in my life though!

Wow, not cheap. Probably the food there's fresh and delicious. 😋

Well, pineapple has a bromelain which is a natural anti-inflammatory. So yeah, why not try it. 😊

Cute place. I'm sure its packed on a nice day in the summer. Lobster rolls can be crazy expensive. The last one I bought was a sandwich shop where most of the sandwiches were $8-9 so I didn't balk at market price. It was almost $30 🤦‍♂️ but it was tasty

Very nice you've captured this little restaurant, honestly I'd come here for coffee.
By the way, for me a mere mortal in Romania the prices are a bit high from what I have seen, I can say that in Europe I have encountered such high prices especially after the pandemic😉

(Edited)

You're right, that's what I noticed after visiting several countries around Europe, prices have actually exploded, probably the pandemic period has affected many businesses and now they probably want to make up for what they lost.
Have a wonderful Sunday!

I love these little shacks! Although, this is way better than most of the clam shacks that I am familiar with. Not on the beach, but, close to where to the boats dock or along the water. Nothing fancy, just the needful. :) And yet, we love it. BTW, your is what we would call a Gucci Shack, uber nice!! You better grab that lobster roll! The average price for a lobster roll is $30.00 but I have seen many more. I just paid $23.50 for one and I felt like that was highway robbery!!! The food truck downtown is lobster rolls and clams - they are $25.00

Crazy, isn't it??

Pearl Hot Dog? Yummy!!! Slow processed for ultimate goodness. Try one, you'll like it! I could eat anything on that menu board, except their fish and chips. I am pretty sure they are not chips, but, french fries and the fish is wrong. 😉

I love this place and it would probably be my go to place if I lived there! Thank you for taking us along and I apologize for being sooooo late!

#MarketFriday began as a way to reach out across the globe and learn about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers' markets, and eventually branched out and evolved over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, and even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact that these things are normal for us. There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world.

Thank you for being a part of #MarketFriday
