Market Friday Street Signs

A post for Market Friday hosted by @dswigle, if you haven't followed her yet you should she is one of the kindest and most supportive people here on Hive, a comment from her is like a ray of sunshine on your page.
This is the one tag and challenge that I always make a point of joining, and also look through the posts of others that join the challenge and seeing markets from all around the world.

For this weeks post, I had to go up onto my PC to sort out some things so while there I looked through my edited photos folder and decided these would do for a Market Friday post, some shop signs I have seen around the city here in New Bedford, I think these were all taken last year, but luckily I have a ton of photos on my computer that I haven't got around to editing, or in this case had edited but had not shared them, so I can do an odd post here now and again, I wont be posting as regularly as I was before Lulus fall and broken Shoulder, and definitely will not be out taking photos much I would say for a few weeks maybe into the new Year, but I will try and make time to edit a few photos each week and do a post or two.
I think when one arrives in a new City driving around looking at the various shop signs around van give you a good feel for the cultures in the city.

Well enough waffling to start the post now onto the signs starting with this one for the Taqueria La Raza, I did like this colorful sign

Now it seems to me no matter where you go in the states one thing there is no shortage of is nail and hair salons, this sign looked a bit tacky to me

There is a lot or Portuguese heritage in this city and many Portuguese themed restaurants

That’s indeed some cool signs and does tell you a lot.
I like the one from the Mexican restaurant too. Great design. Very colourful and one does notice it.

It is fully understandable that you won’t be posting as much for a while… you take care of your wife.
And it’s nice to see some photos you haven’t edited yet that still make a cool post. Now you won’t be going out as much.

Fire hydrant in front of the shoe store captured my eye, perhaps a good reminder to know where they are situated.

Mexican signage most attractive of all, plain design in vibrant colours.

I like the colorful signs at both Mexican restaurants. Makes me want to seek out a local Mexican place this weekend 😁 Have a great weekend!

Great post JJ, I love the different business logos, each business wanting to capture the attention of potential clients. That Mexican one packs lots of punch and I guess they are making good profits. Good grief, JJ! @tattoodjay I am running so late on yours and I intended to try to do it first. My apologies. I went hiking for three days (again) while it was still leaf-peaking in the mountains. This will be the last great week and it is all downhill from there.

First, Lulu! How is she doing? Is she finding more relief and able to sleep? I know you have a million people inquiring and for once in my life, I decided not to add to your list of people that you have to write back to. Just know I am thinking about you. No surgery, right?

I absolutely love all your signage. You continue to toss them out and I love them plenty! I really like the Mexican one and hello! That one sign looks like it is selling more than nail polish!

Yikes.

The shoe store didn't even put a shoe out! I wonder if they really do have shoes? I find it odd to mix shoes and bathing suits, yes? :) There is a huge Portuguese population that is represented there and in Rhode Island. My relatives support that. :) Thank you so much for always thinking of me. Again, sorry I run so late. I must be the slowest on earth at answering posts!!

I think it is important that you know how much I appreciate the time and effort put into posts. Thank you for your participating in #MarketFriday! I enjoy learning about your world and how it is to live in it. I find it interesting to compare standards, but, more than standards, by how we find the quality of our life with different indicators that the world does. It is not always about the wealth in money, but includes many other things including being as healthy as possible, being educated, but, not necessarily in school. I feel like a person is educated if they aquire knowledge and use it for the better good and happiness of the society they are living in.
