Market Friday Shops around town

Market Friday Shops around town

A post for Market Friday hosted by @dswigle, if you haven't followed her yet you should she is one of the kindest and most supportive people here on Hive, a comment from her is like a ray of sunshine on your page.
This is the one tag and challenge that I always make a point of joining, and also look through the posts of others that join the challenge and seeing markets from all around the world.

For this weeks post, I am going to share a few shots of shops around the city here in New Bedford

Starting with this Dairy maid Ice Cream shop or perhaps Kiosk, Not far from the Hurricane Barrier wall, I have never tried the ice cream from here to be honest, I have driving by there with the grandkids a couple of times but they have had long queues.

We end up heading to another one called Lollies who have my favorite flavor Mint Chocolate Chip :)

What is your favorite flavor of Ice Cream?

Funnily enough part of the routine we have with the kid son Fridays is after I pick them up we go to Cumberlands garage and store and they pick up a couple of snacks, the weird thing for me is on the colder days the grandson always seems to want to grab an ice cream, but in simmer when its warm he never grabs ice cream

Next up is the T-Mobile and anytime fitness stores near to the Shaws Supermarket I often go to

And next up the mechanics Bank, there are so many banks here, growing up in NZ seems we had three or four options for banks, here there is so many

One of the local car wash places we have here, most of them have the drive through full service wash option as well as spots where you can wash your car yourself

and finishing off with a Dunkin Donuts place, again so many of them here hard to drive more than a few minutes without passing one

The dairy maid has that 1950's feel which is cool. The lines might be worth the wait to try it. I like strawberry ice cream.

Usually I got for something with nuts and caramel, but I have been craving a really good chocolate malt for the past couple of summers. I have tried a couple from some different places, but so far none of them have quite satisfied me. Maybe this summer will be the year I find a good one!

The ice cream store and Dunkin donuts caught my attention my dear friend. As always, great angles and perfect shots. I so love the puffy clouds and the vibrant blue sky and I must say it complemented the structures. Seeing the Dunkin Donuts made me crave today, hehe. I love the blueberry cheesecake donuts. Beat regards my friend and take care always.

Ice-cream shop looks most inviting, when busy it's normally a good sign it's worthwhile waiting for!

Now that looks like old town America. Small shops, separate from each other, each has parking space...
You have a Dairy Maid!!! We have a franchise of Dairy Queen!
Good morning, @tattoodjay ! I hope you have a great weekend!

I really want to publish a photo post, but I've been too busy to go out and take pictures because I've already done posts of the few things that surround me, but if at some point I start with a lot of concentration to upload posts to this community I will take your posts as inspiration, because you always bring posts of very different things, this challenge of taking pictures of stores seems very interesting for people to see how are the stores in different parts of the world.

New Bedford is such a nice town, with small businesses mixed in with chains. It is the mix that makes it pretty nice, enough personality to make it an enjoyable venture out, and enough warm fuzzies for people who like their Dunkin' or one of their other regular items.

Dairy Maid looks like a local favorite. We have an ice cream Place like that here and there is always and forever a line there! I am not a big fan of ice cream, so I am okay with it, but, many people spend a long time for a cold one. :) *My favorite? If I had to choose one? I love Rocky Road or Cherries Garcia."" That is really funny about your grandson! Have you ever brought it up to him? LOL I wonder if it has dawned on him! :)

I used to belong to Anytime Fitness so I could use it when visiting my parents. It is $10 a month and month to month. You don't have to have a year-long membership, When I was going to go for a week or whatever, I would join for a month. It was a pretty good deal. I love deals like that!

So many banks!!! I agree! We only need one or two at the most.

Car washes! I like washing my own in the nice weather, but, in the winter, I let them do it for me. When I am traveling, the snob in me wants a nice, clean car if I am driving. So, off to the car wash I go!

#MarketFriday began as a way to reach out across the globe and learn about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers' markets, and eventually branched out and evolved over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, and even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact that these things are normal for us. There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world. Thank you for being a part of #MarketFriday

Rules of the Road to Join #MarketFriday!

1.Go to any type of market, or anywhere where you pay money for a service. It can be a museum, a movie theatre, or an auction. Be creative!
2.Tell us a little bit about the market or the event. What brought you there? What did you buy? How much did it cost? We like to compare prices, otherwise, it is just pictures of a market!
3.Post the pictures! No out-of-focus ones, please! Tell a little bit about the pictures that you post. Having many pictures to scroll through does not make a better post without explanation.
4.Use the MarketFriday Community Platform to post #hive-196308 (this is not required, but appreciated) If you don't, then #MarketFriday should be your first tag
5.Following me and reblogging the post so more see it would be appreciated !! Not a rule, just appreciated, more vision for more views on your posts!
. You must put #MarketFriday by @dswigle somewhere on your post.
6.#MarketFriday post should be submitted sometime on Friday UTC
7.The post MUST be in English
8.Drop the link into the MarketFriday comment section so I can find it
